I work in SF. If you want life to come back to SF, you really have to make people feel safe first. Crime, homelessness, and drugs have to go first.

Great guy. Spent Saturday night with him and the guy who created the Underdog 55 chevy at The Lions Den. You can feel the history in there of Chinatown. Great job Steve.

Niners is the appropriate name since it's associated with boom and bust. Anyone that was around in the early 00s remembers how it was pretty bad back then. An un-named tech company leased a whole building long term and didn't have the head count anymore. No one wanted to move in. My old company moved in on a sweetheart deal on a sublease. Will be trickier with work from home, but SF will bounce back eventually.

Seattle Chinatown didn't have a nightlife but it did have people going down there at night until the city made meters active till later into the night and let the homeless situation get out of hand. And the politicians didn't help either with their idiotic ideas which made it hard to run a profitable business along with the high rents. Chinese businesses took their business out of Seattle and are striving creating new Chinese hubs. Seattle Chinatown is fading away. There are new developments going up around the area also of which will eventually engulf it.

Why would I want to go all the way to SF Chinatown when I can go to any other Bay Area city and find me comparable Chinese food? Less crime, less homeless, less human feces, less cost on parking. There is no incentive for anyone to go all the way to Chinatown unless you're a tourist. Give it up Steven, Chinatown will never be the same and same goes with the City. Gov't officials have made it unprofitable for small businesses because of all the red tape and taxes and to be honest ... it is way too expensive for the average person to spend a night out in the city.

@@silentmajority8365 some weird thing is happening in sf where they made special white only neighborhoods like forest hill and then made redlined districts for non whites but then modern white people think the white neighborhoods are boring and bland and want to live in an interesting historically segregated neighborhood where there are bars and cultural sites, and not just giant mansions and parks like in the white neighborhoods. Then the minorities are forced to leave by the rising rents and SF slowly gets more white every day while they gloss over the problem talking about reparations and shit.
