This made-for-TV movie aired on NBC in November 1976 and was, in the author's opinion, the best of the "killer bee" movies of the 1970s.

The 70's were a great time for Movie Nights in front of the TV, with the family. THAT is a bygone era, never to be seen nor repeated again. Television programs have been nothing but garbage as of late, with all the idiotic "Reality Shows", Talent(less) Shows, Politically Correct sitcoms, All Inclusive other programs. The internet keeps kids in their rooms playing all kinds violent games. Social media, keeps people looking at their cellphones, pc screens, etc. The only thing good about the internet is that it gives us a chance to relieve those times with movies like this. Thank You for the upload 💗

@furhunter11 Loved watching Elvira and the movies she would present. I had been in the Navy for nearly 9 years when this movie came out. Everyone gathered in the TV room in the barracks with a big batch of fresh popcorn and watch her. What ever happened to the good TV shows and Movies that we had back then. They all seemed to have a solid story line, movies like Steve McQueen and Candice Bergen's 1966 "Sand Pebbles", or Charlton Heston's 1963 "55 Days in Peking" or the westerns like John Wayne and Ann-Margaret's 1973 "Train Robbers." Today what they put out barely has a story line and is so predictable that there will be graphic sex before the show is half over, or there is so much violence and blood shed in the show, that they are pathetic. I rely on my 575 movie library and the older movies I can find here KZfaq.

I watched this movie when I was eight years old, and I sat terrified for a while, then it disappeared from my memory, and now, after forty, it suddenly came back to me, so I searched for it until I found it. I don’t know why my memory came back to this movie, and I don’t know why I feel sad, perhaps because the movie’s heroes have left.

That's because Directors/editors knew not to shake the camera to death (Hitchcock shock the set) and to short-take the scenes-- something modern "artists" have yet discovered. (It's what happens when libtards run a University.) They also didn't have a stress on "not oh-fending some group. The '60's gave birth to political-correctness; the '70's were the "formative years" for P.C. attorneys to learn how to sue.

This movie kinda came true. The Killer Bees arrived here (Las Vegas) in 1997 after escaping a lab in Brazil in 1957. They now say all bees here have been "Africanized". Although they have killed people and horses, attacks are rare. They say if you see a bee, it IS Africanized. They were bred for heat tolerance and are forever in warm climate areas.

I loved this movie when I was a kid even though it scared me. I have never forgotten that someone was swinging a sword and managed to tear the protective lining of someone's suit. I had to ask, why did a costume sword do enough damage to tear a protective suit? Poor suit indeed! As a kid, I actually believed these bees would be a real threat some day, because no responsible adult explained to me that these movies were just exploiting paranoia.

As a bee keeper for the past 5 years I could tell you those bees would not of died at 45 degrees specially when they were all swarmed together like they were. They could of just sprayed the car down with a co2 fire extinguisher.

And did they need to go to the superdome? couldn't they have driven to some refrigerated warehouse?
@fododude6 жыл бұрын
And they go all the way to the Superdome, drive to the 50 yardline, close the doors behind and THEN and ONLY THEN do they ask, "Can this go down to 45 degrees?"
@NZ926736 жыл бұрын
If it were possible they would have had to unfreeze the warehouse, let the car in and freeze it again. They could have gotten it down to like 0 degrees! Too bad Warrick Kerr and that incompetent substitute bee keeper (the substitute bee keeper is actually more to blame since he removed the queen excluders letting the african queens escape) have enabled havoc to be unleashed on the western hemisphere.
@artistsos-previews69675 жыл бұрын
They (kind of) explained that. If the bees sensed cold, they'd just fly away, so the space had to start out warm, then get gradually colder to keep the swarm intact. You can't question these movies too closely or you'll kill the fun! :-)
