I think what happened is since that white ghost lady is an urban legend , a woman around the area probably wanted to prank someone by dressing up like the legend, or she was on drugs

My ghost story: I was in year 5 and we were having our first ever overnight school trip. On the second night, I was finding it hard to get to sleep so I looked out the window. I saw a completely white figure, faceless, looked about the height of the average 9 year old kid. It was pacing from side to side. Sometimes my brain hallucinates and turns objects into moving things so I just went to sleep and forgot about it. The next day, I'd forgotten about my sighting when some other people reported seeing a white figure outside the girls' cabins. Keep in mind that I hadn't told ANYONE. I let them know what I saw and turns out 10 people saw it. We tried to tell the teacher but they didn't believe us. All of the boys (they didn't see it because the boys' dorms were far away from the girls') said that we were definitely hallucinating, BUT 10 PEOPLE CAN'T HAVE THE EXACT SAME HALLUCINATION.

This story happened to me when I was 11, it normally takes me a while to go to sleep and I was already awake for a few hours, so I closed my eyes in an attempt to fall asleep, a few minutes passed and I still havent fallen asleep so I opened up my eyes, and as I did I saw a tall ( around 7-9 feet tall ), black shadowy figure with really long arms and no face, looming over my bed with its arms extended towards me as if it was trying to grab me, I was so terrified that I pulled my blanket over my head, and tried not to make any sounds, and (not so) coincidentally I was sleeping with a plushie with the same arm type that the figure had, same length, same pose, same etc. So I did the only logical thing anybody would do... I let my dogs rip the plushie to shreds. The End.

I had a paranormal last year I live in a family farm and I was staying the night at my grandparents house. After a few hours my dad rushed me and my siblings to the car. We get home and I see my dog R.J. Sitting on our golf cart. "He use to sit there because me and him used to go on rides across the farm. I patted him on the head and walked inside. Shortly afterward my parents took me and my siblings to the living room to break the news that R.J. had been hit by a semi truck 6 hours previously. He died immediately. The Rest of my family was sad but no matter how much they cried I couldn't stop thinking about what was on the golf cart when I walked in. The Rest of the week all I could hear was that thing scratching up the doors trying to get in, it's canine wailing becoming me closer, as the door shook from something on the other side. Since then I haven't had a good explanation of what it was I encountered that night. But what I do know is that it wasn't dead

Story time: I was with my cousin Angie and we were at our grandmas (at this time we were 7-8). We went into the quest room to sleep but we got creeped out bc there was a really loud clock that just kept ticking and a bugged out lamp. We were freaked out and this wasn’t the first thing we saw like shadows. Then Angie said she saw someone’s face at the back of the drawer. I didn’t believe her until I saw it too so we ran down stairs and slept with our grandma for the night. Accept I was the last to sleep and I kept seeing this tall shadow figure outside the window across the street. I freaked out and I couldn’t blink that much as he would get closer. But the shadow wouldn’t get too close maybe around 12 feet away from the window. I thought I was crazy but I asked Angie about it now and she said she saw it too.. but it became really close to the window for her like she could see his “breath” on the window accept my grandma has a fence around her house... (btw my grandmas house use to be a doctors place )

Quite recently, actually, I was heading downstairs to go shopping with my parents or smth, the stairs to go downstairs are right near my parent’s room. They had the lights off, but I could’ve sworn while walking by I heard a noise, it sounded like someone who ate a pack of cigarettes and was exhaling. I looked in and there was nobody there, so now I think there’s a ghost chilling in my parent’s bathroom. I’ve also heard this noise while I was sitting in the dark waiting for my cousin. I was in the room this time, and when I looked at where to noise came from, as you can imagine, nobody.

My immediate guess was someone was pranking you! Maybe they heard of the legend and thought “Welp Time to freak some kids out Now- do I have any victorian nightgowns-“

It happened at around 2015 or a few months into 2016. I always refused to sleep in my moms room, it was very uncomfortable for me as a lil kid to sleep in darkness. One night, I built the courage to sleep in the anxiety induced room. I suddenly woke up late at night to see my mom smoking a cigarette by the door, me, a confused half awake child asked “Mom?” But my mom never responded, but instead left, I quickly got up, now annoyed that she ignored me! *Creek Creek..CREEK* I stepped into the hallway to see a light coming from the living room, I turned the corner to ask why she was watching me sleep..she was asleep on the couch with the movie Moana playing.. I looked into the kitchen, nothing! I looked by the staircase at the front door, seen no light on..I was still half asleep and just wanting to go back to sleep. The very next morning, I asked mom about her looking at me while I was sleeping, she denied it, explaining that no one else came in and came out at night 😅 ha..ha..ha.. extra info: A women died in that same room, my mom, knowing full well it was the some women. It was explained that the women would often smoke a cigarette. Confirming it was her, Loretta.

Since my family has a very old house but it was renovated when we bought it here's my story: My bedroom use to be an old kitchen so it has a small cupboard (kind of like a pantry) built into the wall. I usually keep the cupboard closed but whenever I go to bed and wake up in the morning its open sometimes. I woke up in the middle of the night to a creaking of that pantry door, I recall seeing a shadowy figure in that cupboard but I just thought it was one of my siblings trying to scare me. I woke up the next morning and asked my siblings if they where in my room last night but they said no.

I saw my dead grandma when I was 3 and she played with me at night, she then took me up into my room when I was tired. The next morning, I told my mother. She asked what she was wearing and I said a green sweater. I can positively say that this was not a dream because I have been a lucid dreamer since my first dream. A week later, my grandfather was crying of a green sweater she had when she was alive.

Hmm this actually happened to me a while ago, I was driving in the passenger seat with my grandma and my brother. We were trying to get back home from a party of some sort and we actually saw her standing near the curb we were about to turn. Luckily we turned so quick that she was outta site. That night I did my research, turned out a car crash happened there. That was also related to a dream I had that night as well

My story: I was laying in bed about a year ago and I was just drifting off when I felt a hand force it’s way into my mouth and down my throat, the hand seemed like it was trying to open in my throat and I woke up coughing. The weirdest bit about it was I could still feel like felling of the hand in my throat after I’d woken up. Then I tried to go to sleep again and then I heard gagging…. Then idk if this was on the same night but someone grabbed my ankle at the bottom of the bed.

I got stuck on an intersection as a child, luckily people were kind enough to help. Definitely not something you want to experience

One time I saw a black shadowy figure with red eyes and what looked like a fedora drifting towards my Brother’s room. I went in and looked inside and I saw nothing. I turned on the lights and looked everywhere, but I still saw nothing. I don’t know what that was to this day.

My Scary Story: We had a school fair last year and there was a big toy table for the younger kids, one of my friends brought a barbie and Ken (as a joke lol) and when I saw them I switched their heads around. Just picture a barbie head on a Ken body lol...anyway he had them on a shelf, and the next day they were gone. He looked everywhere for them and couldn't find them, and nobody was at home at the time. They're still lost to this day 👹 Not really my spooky story but ya know still spoopy

Basically this happened to my mum, she drove home from a LLLOOOOONNNNGGG night shift, and after a couple minutes of driving she saw a woman who was abbooouuuttt 7 feet ig, pale as heck but wearing a white sheet over her head and she looked like a ghost. A couple days later after what happened she decided to search up "woman with white sheet over their head" and she found a photo almost identical to what she had seen. I have 3 theories, 1. It was probably a spirit of a woman who tragically died and now forever haunts that road. 2. It was probably the white lady. 3. It was probably a black-eyed kid. The 3rd one probably makes no sense.

I have 2 stories. I was about 5-7 (I can't remember the exact age), and at my friend's house. Let's call her Vanessa. We were in Vanessa's room and nobody was home but her, her brother (who was in the basement), and I. Her sister had a rabbit who lived in her sisters room, which was right across Vanessa's room. We were playing and we heard a giant crash from across the hall (the hall was very tiny BTW.) so we ran to see if the bunny was okay. The cage was across the room, the foodbowl on top of her sisters loft bed, and the water and toys were scattered across the room. The rabbit was okay, but I shall never forget the terror I felt in that moment. QUICK SIDE NOTE: Yes, there is a ghost in Vanessa's house. I haven't seen her in a while so I don't remember the name. but it did harmless things. like unlock the kitchen door and such. my town is 128 years old, and Vanessa lives in the oldest house in town. STORY NUMBER 2. I had my friends come over, they're twins, dunno if that's important. I like all things occult and witchy (Heck, I have a pin that says 'witchy vibes') So I grabbed a demon summoning ritual I have saved on my computer. We did it and one of the twins felt something touch her hand, I felt a hand on my back, and the other twin felt someone pinch him. We knew something was there, but nothing appeared. so we used a ouija board (I refuse to accept the pronunciation of 'wee-jee') And IT MOVED, AND I FELT SOMEONE TOUCH MY BACK. no, it wasn't one of the twins because they were sitting in front of me, and my Mom and Dad were downstairs. So? we put a flower on my altar as a peace offering, and promptly ran out of the house.

This spring break, I was driving back from Southern California, and it was night. As we were the passing by the rows of pine trees along the road, I see a middle-aged, simply dressed man on the side of the road, staring into my soul. Completely still, unmoving, and looking right at me. I’ll never forget that. I think his eyes were pure white, too.

I used to have hallucinations from taking 5 benadryl every night when i was younger and a lady that looked similar to her but had longer hair and longer dress would float by my bed every early morning, she went away after a month of me not taking the benadryl anymore

What scary is that in my area she causes car accidents, exact same description. They say she hides in the side of the highway, jumps out and causes a crash, but when the car owners get out, she is gone.

It was the day of the dead and in my Spanish class we were learning more about it. Once the lesson was over the teacher thought it was a good idea to show as a picture of her family but in the picture there was a little girl but she was fading in the picture but you could still see her the little girl had a white dress, black straight hair covering her face, and had a little halo on top of her head.

I’m just glad you don’t believe in ghosts and stuff because I’d probably just stop driving for like a month after seeing the infamous white lady. Also she could’ve been one of those people that try to block the road or get you to stop so their friends can jump out from the side to steal your car and mug you.

Story time One day me and my cousins were sleeping over at my grandparents house. The next morning the youngest cousin of us three told me about seeing a youngish woman by the door in the middle of the night and that this woman was wearing a feathered hat wearing almost 40s clothing walking through the hallway.after that I was no concerned and confused and I told her not to worry about it because I was the one of the eldest and she looked up to me and I didn’t want her to think back on whatever she saw. Even though she was the only one that saw that I was not skeptical because of her tone of voice. I went home in the morning but I couldn’t seam to sleep the next night. Because I couldn’t sleep and it was really late I had to use the restroom so then I got up out of bed and started walking to the bathroom and I don’t have a bathroom in my room and there is a hallway splitting my room in the bathroom apart once I got out of my room I looked down the hallway and I saw exactly what my cousin had described earlier it was sitting at the dining room table staring right at me I looked at it for a few seconds and slowly backed into my room again then I closed my gate and went back to watching KZfaq I was not able to sleep at night😅

This is a scary experience I had! So I was in my room, it was night time and I was about to go to sleep. My younger sister came in my room because she couldn’t go to sleep…but then she kept claiming that the outside light for the shed was turning on and off. Mind you, my mum wasn’t home and my dad was asleep, and to turn that shed light on, someone HAS to be IN the shed to actually turn the light on and off. It went on and off a few times before I eventually fell asleep. I still don’t know what happened to this day, wether the light was just glitching or what..

I was home alone playing WoW during the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in the late/early hours. Downstairs I heard banging, and when I went down there, a table had turned over and cabinets were open. I shrugged it off and went back upstairs to continue the ICC raid. I told the guild about it, and we decided to name the ghost/spirit "Angelina" for irony sake.

There is ghost man that lives in my hallway, he’s just an all black shadow figure and he just chills in my hallway and sometimes in the corner of my room. But one time I was up late drawing and animating on my iPad and I look up AND HES STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO MY BED! Obviously I was very freaked out and I just stared at his head and he just stared back for a solid 10 seconds and then he disappeared and I swear my soul almost left my body 😭💀

Story time that no one asked for: So I was just chilling, and I was all alone. I decided to get up and right behind the place where I was sitting was a tall shadowy figure that had arms that curved at the end and no hands. It was completely faceless. It moved 3 times and disappeared. It might've been just my eyes, but it still scares me..

(I know this might sound like a exaggeration that this is the scariest think that has ever happened compared to everything else to me) knowing that there is a large, or small, chance that one of my pets will die. It's terrifying, Once, my guinea pigs water bottle broke about 1 hour before we'd go on a 4 day vacation, we had a pet sitter, but, they didn't have a pet water bottle, and IT'S 4 DAYS. A guinea pig wouldn't live that long without water, we where able to get a water bottle for them 10 minutes from when the store closed. I was so anxious, (I have bad anxiety) that after it, I got so sick from the stressed, literary, I was running to the bathroom so much I had got so sick. And when one of my piggies was sick, I was so scared. and I also got chased by a guy who I later found out was a kidnapper, but hey, that's not important.

I have a similar experience of the black haired lady! I saw her across from my house. Makes sense bc their's always sirens coming down my street.

So the thing that basically happened was that I felt like there was some weird presence on my back and when it touched my back, I felt my back being touched creepy

I was camping and soul a six legged creature one of the days of that week and I kept on seeing it in the site, and I still go there from time to time every year

Uhh, it's short but nonetheless terrifying story, one night around 2017 is, my and my younger brother shared a room, his bed was basically mirroring mine with an old set of drawers from my great grandad, I'd just like to mention he died when I was 4, so he wasn't alive when this happened. The middle of the set of drawers slowly opened itself, to it's full extent before my eyes. After spending 5 minutes frozen in fear, I ran downstairs to my perfectly calm mother and older sister, almost crying I told them what happened and refused to go back to my room for that night, so I slept in my mother's bed. In person this was absolutely terrifying for me , but oh well. I'd like to point out, I have those same drawers at the end of my bed to this day, I've told my mother since that I want to get rid of them.

One day when I was a kid I was sick with a pretty bad cold and the cough drops were in my parents room which I was always scared to go into because I would hear what sounded like aggressive stomping coming from their closet. So when I ran in I didn’t turn on the lights because I wanted to get in and out as fast as possible. After I grabbed the cough drops I was on my out when I heard noise coming from behind me. When I turned around I saw a shadow person so tall that when it walked through the door of my parents closet it had to crouch through the door. As soon as I saw it I ran out the door. That was the last time I had ever seen it but now my parents have a problem with the plumbing so occasionally you’ll hear banging coming from their room.
