Timmy, there's an old saying: In the city, people ignore sirens and notice when they hear gunshots. In the country, people ignore gunshots and notice when they hear sirens. Sorry someone died during the filming.

I live in the country and the city is coming to me. I hear a lot more sirens. When I start seeing crooks and homeless people hanging around then I'll start worrying about gunshots until then they are music to my ears... :)

@smashedfootlefty4726 why vilify homeless? Typical 😮
@smashedfootlefty4726
@smashedfootlefty4726 10 ай бұрын
Many homeless people in my area vilify themselves. My definition of homeless people is people leaving trash in their wake that lie cheat and steal their way through life. These are the homeless people that live less than 20 miles from where I live and are constantly lighting buildings and fields on fire and defecating and urinateing in public spaces. Anyone that chooses not to live in sticks and bricks is more than welcome in my book. I speak to many people that choose a different way through this life and have much respect for many of them because they are respectful to their fellow man by respecting the places they call home for the night and not thrashing them like many other homeless people do. The issue is respect. Respect for their fellow human beings, and respect for the property and rights of others. Rights are endowed from ones' Creator and can be as numerous as the stars in the sky. The only thing that limits ones rights is when their rights trespass upon the rights of another. Hopefully that may clarify my earlier comment a little better for you? @@joshuagharis9017

Typical is the bad element statistically associated with that particular lifestyle. It makes perfect sense to be worried and alert. I live in Detroit Michigan and see it every single day. Are they all bad? No. Can you trust anyone? No. If you've never seen or lived amongst them on such a large scale, who are you to say anything about it in such a negative response as if you know. Are you homeless? Do you run with a gang? Do you know anyone in either of the two? Don't try to vindicate yourself by lying, tell the truth.

When you put locks back on, one thing you can try to avoid the locks corroding beyond use is buy some tennis balls, cut a slit in them, then slide up over the base of the lock. Keeps dirt and road grime out of the lock works and keeps them from icing up. It's an old truck drivers trick.

I take 1" wide pieces of bicycle inner tube and stretch them around the body of the padlock to cover the key hole and then rub grease around the lock shank to fill the small gap around the Shank to keep water and dust out.

A tip that will help you with your padlocks no matter which version you use get you a little bit of tube of machine grease is a Home Depot or wherever is waterproof heatproof even a valve stem grease block where you want them to be. Put a little grease around the top of the boat and force it into the key slot. It will still stay there. It will not wash out no matter what so when it comes time to go back and take it off, it will come off nice and easy, I use it for Maintenance business and like I said it does not wash out or melt and will remain in place until you put your key back in again
@BroncoJoeAK
@BroncoJoeAK 10 ай бұрын
Collects a lot of dirt though when on the trail. Personally I only use brake cleen on my paddie locks because it blasts them out and cleans them. Perhaps the grease would work better if you were to come up with a cheap cover for them. I’ve heard of tennis balls being used, but in icy weather the fiber usually turns the tennis ball into an ice ball.

@@TruckHouseLife When I was there some 18 years ago now, that maybe was the tragedy that took place not long before that point in time, all I know is I was standing there at one of the lookouts that people pull into and someone near me brought that up about a horrible scene some time before that and an attempted rescue and I won't go into detail as it was horrible. The gist I got from it was that the area looks so innocent but its like quicksand and never to walk out onto it. I would guess this young man may have assumed it was like beach sand perhaps and was not by one of the warning signs they have up to warn of how dangerous it is.

If you have the money, a stable lift is soooo worth the investment. My dad has a truck camper and buying the stable lift was absolutely worth it!! It makes lifting it up and down a breeze. We can go in the top bunk when it’s on the ground, thanks to the frame. I’m not sure if it could work for this, although I’m positive it could! It makes the worst part about owning a truck camper, backing the truck up and putting it in the box.

Purchase yourself a spray bottle of Turtle Wax hybrid solution ceramic spray coating. Try it on a section of your newly varnished wood siding and then compare that ceramic sprayed area next year to the rest of your wood siding. That ceramic coating is for real. It sheds water like the feathers on a duck. Certainly it is fantastic on my car's finish. I was glad to see you put those reinforced saw horses under your lifted camper home.

If I may make a suggestion or point out.?. 1 down side to the turn buckles that hold the house to the bed. They are easy to open which means they are easy to open on the road. My suggestion is to band them like you would a CV joint on a front wheel car with metal straps. Not zip ties they break under cold or heat. I know you are cool, But if you are not paying attention someone or something could mess you up. Or if they come loose while 4 wheeling it could be a bad day . Pre and Post Check should be in the SOP for the day. Keep living your dream Timmy. Thanks
