@@teemocomehome well if you take multiverse of madness into equation she’s dead or buried. I don’t think you have noticed the pattern. They will hype up some hero and only that hero will shine , captain marvel for example inspite of she tanking lots of damage before, got taken off by a falling statue . I mean come on. That was the biggest joke from marvel. So Wanda will also lose the same way with any upcoming new villain. That’s how it works just to make newer villain look more badass. Movie logic is when you need a team then that villain is made to look more powerful .

Wanda absorbing him to keep him a prisoner inside her soul is very reminiscent of Trigon and Raven from DC. Heck, Chthon's new design is basically an inverse colored Trigon.

Wanda was made in 1964 and chthon was created in 1975 trigon and raven is 1980 so how is they stealing trigon bc we seen chthon like 2 times and never seen what he really look like into now so…no hate btw just saying

@@guebehskdbrbekddbj2047 In this case, who came first is irrelevant because the characters were fundamentally different from each other, with only vague surface-level similarities at best (seriously both marvel and DC have a ton of kids with Demon parents). To change the dynamic by making Wanda imprison Chthon in herself is a brand new concept for the character. As for Cthton himself, we have seen images of him plenty of times over the decades. He's always looked like a dark grey vampiric being, with a rocky skin texture and completely red eyes, and his only article of clothing was a shadowy blue cape. Then of course we have that weird one-off monstrous Lovecraftian-esque form from Carnage volume two #15. They should've kept that and just given him his traditional cape. Now he's wearing an outfit almost identical in design to the type of outfit that Trigon is famous for wearing (especially in the New 52 redesign). Pair the outfit with his new horned demon character design, and you get a "sexier" version of Trigon. The only difference is that his skin is white and his outfit is red, whereas Trigon is red and his outfit is white.

Also his prime would've been from when he was at the height of his power, before the sorcerers of the world and Gaea erased his name from history. At that time, he was in his traditonal giant rock vampire with a blue cape form.

Wanda's main weakness was her unstable mentality. But after she absorbed Chthon, she is now mentally stable. Chthon can't use Wanda's emotions to control her anymore.

A bit anticlimactic for a battle against the elder god Chthon but the story implications going forward are very interesting to me. Also I feel like this is subtly telling us that Wanda is now full on magic and pretty much won’t ever be a mutant again. I’ve accepted it at this point.

@@Kiteshade that’s not even the case in general 😂 magneto ain’t her father and she was never a mutant. I mean it makes sense considering she has the power to erase all mutants like some God which is pretty unordinary for an “average mutant” to have such an ability. Same for Jean Grey. She’s a mutant but the Phoenix, an entity gave her a Godly status. Mutants are powerful but not Gods. I always thought apocalypse was a God as I didn’t know much about him but he’s just a very powerful mutant who wants to become a God but was easily obliterated by the Phoenix force

@@kxzx4355 That's a false anology because Chthon originated Chaos Magic that is all him.. he gave that fraction of his powers to Wanda as a baby who marked her as his vessel to conquer the mortal world... But what happened is that Wanda used Darkhold (Chthon's greatest weapon, another vessel if Wanda didn't work out) against him and that's how she defeated him and she was mentally prepared and powerful enough to absorb every ink of Darkhold and in that way she absorbed Chthon into her too trapped in her body... Just like how trigon was trapped in Raven's crystal on her forehead. She has become the Darkhold itself.

Let's put this into context here -- Wanda just got Cthon's full powers...I mean she had power before but now she's got the whole damn tank. Saying she's OP is putting it mildly. I'm confused on one thing though is this before or after her death/rebirth - this has to be after right? I need to go back and check.

Wanda does not have to be undone, she would simply be a darker more powerful version. Think, Illyana Rasputin, becomes Mistress of Limbo, Queen of a host of demons and lost souls, and let’s not forget she manipulated Legion to destroy the Elder Gods. While she is her own person, she has never lost control to destroy reality. I would like to think Wanda just finally mastered Chthonic cause the more he messed with her, the more she knew how to defeat him.

That's one thing that I about Doom? He's always chasing power no matter the cost. Wanda becoming the Darkhold? She became another version of Dark dr Strange, but, respect fact that she had total control no matter what. And didn't let Doom sucker her again, despite not actually being present. I guess Doom was suspecting betrayal on Wanda part too begin with since he used his bots.

Wanda feats are going stronger in the Trial Of Magneto comic issues.. she literally built a heaven realm for the souls of all dead mutants and preserved them for resurrection program in Krokoa Island.

I honestly wouldn't be suprised if DOOM actually foresaw the outcome and was willing to let it play out just to be better prepared to take Cthon out of Wanda to get his revenge for that L he got in the beginning of the series. Cause the only thing greater than Victor Von Dooms intellect and ego is his pettiness.

I agree that it doesn't quite seem like Doom to be out-maneuvered so easily. He's not someone you can just get over on - but if that does happen to be the case, there will be repercussions.

I like how the artist's illustration of *Blade* has him looking like Eddie Murphy's "Vampire in Brooklyn" character with a touch of Sticky Finggaz. Cthon's has *Dark Souls* bosses in his army one of them look like *The Burnt Ivory King*

Remember in Hot Tub Time Machine when even when he changed the past he still got stabbed in the eye, that's what I thought when Dr. Doom burst into flames. 😆😆😆😆 At this point, he does the most obvious of things, and is genuinely surprised when people figure out his play and it blows up in his face. I agree with Wanda his ego is his greatest flaw. I would actually enjoy a limited run story that shows a humbled Dr. Doom. A story that challenges his intelligence, mystic abilities, and leadership capabilities; especially, as a monarch. The only adversary that could do that would be Dracula and the vampire nation attempting to invade Lataveria. What are your thoughts? I wonder if the outcome of this story; as we as, the significant boost in power is before or after the Trial of Magneto story line? Is this what also motivated Wanda to create the Astral Gate for the nation of Krakoa? Great broadcast, SQUAD UP!!!

This puts scarlet witch on a whole other level. We are talking about how chnthon’s very presence to eternity was poisoning him (Chnthon is literally an elder god). When Dr. Doom has the power gain access to the life force he was on the same power scale as the beyonder who is actually suppose to be as powerful or maybe even more powerful than the living tribunal. Now wanda has control and access to that life force plus 100% of chaos magic plus she’s a nexus being plus her witch abilities. The goddess of chaos is immensely powerful now we are talking omnipotent and Nigh-Omniscient (now that she is the true dark hold she has billions of years of knowledge). She can definitely take on celestials at this point as the beyonder was able to kill celestials with ease.

the tie-ins with all the various heroes were mostly good. But the Alpha and Omega books themselves were.. fairly underwhelming. For the terror of Cython being so hyped, he really wasn't utilized that well. And on the note of not utilized well, in the main book itself the defiled really felt.. off, and not in an unnerving way. There should have been more issues to flesh out the team, so we could get a proper feeling for them. Honestly wish they were twisted anti-heroes instead of all vying for the big bad's power. And the new character suddenly being revealed without much foreshadowing probably wasn't the best idea. I dunno, the tie-ins were all pretty interesting in how they utilized the heroes, but the main book was really lacking. It was unfortunately too short.

@@matthewschwartz6607 Wanda was killed by the Unmaker and then also died in Trial of Magneto (well technically she died in the end of Hellfire Gala, eh.) Shes fine. She got over it. No one stays dead in the comics, but my issue is Chthon might get released if she dies again. And the thing is, it has been a mystery for months as to why Wanda suddenly became powerful in Trial of Magneto (she did something EPIC) , but if this Darkhold series happened before Trial of Magneto, then question answered, she got an upgrade after eating Chthon. yey? She died and then ressurected herself, but still, its kinda dangerous for her to be NOT CAREFUL about this whole dying thing, because Chthon could get released from her now.

Scarlet witch has always been the dooms crutch in situations like this. He constantly uses her and thinks he can get one over on her kinda like joker and Harley Quinn. But like Harley Quinn Wanda is aware of his shenanigans and prepared for this moment as he recruits her a lot and has done so before numerous times. She knows he has a massive ego and uses that against him.

Because he cannot handle chthon on his own. Wanda is a channel that can block or give a passage to chthon so it be convenient for him to use her because she is more powerful . She busted him though.

Black Bolts story was my favorite...til I realized that was the end of it.....WTF??? I need to know!!! What did he do? Was he Maximus??? WTF?!?! Least favorite! Not even a full story!!! Spidey wins and Wasp is second, followed by Blad and Ironman tied for 3rd Black bolt is 5th. At least til I have a resolution!!! Lol

Wanda And Zatanna are Equivalent For Both Comics, They Even Have A Character That Has Literally Both Their Powers In Marvel 💀 The Backward Spells, Chaos Magic and Etc Just Look Up Wanda And Zatanna Combined Marvel. They're both the magical girls of their comics
