@@thomassowellreacts APRIL 24, 2024 Biden’s Regulations Costing Nearly $1.4 Trillion WASHINGTON, D.C. - Yesterday, the American Action Forum (AAF) released a report that shows since taking office, Biden’s agency rulemakings have cost the federal taxpayer $1.37 trillion and counting. The American Action Forum has dubbed this week the most expensive on record. The most costly of Biden’s regulations was the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) tailpipe vehicle emissions rule, which came in at $870 billion just by itself. Biden increased his regulatory burden by $875.3 billion in just one week. That nearly matches the $890 billion total of President Obama’s regulations during his entire presidency. The average cost of one of Biden’s regulations is over $1.5 billion. In comparison, the regulations under Obama averaged $250 million. Last week’s regulations alone added more than 4.7 million annual paperwork burden hours. source, HOUSE BUDGET COMMITTEE

All we have to do in all societies, not just America, is ensure that discrimination doesn't occur and that there are mechanisms in place for when it does occur. Then let the chips fall where they may. Society, on an individual level, will figure out who does what, based on their own interests and abilities. You can't MAKE 50% of women want to be Engineers for example. Maybe they don't want to be, so saying "we need 50% of engineers to be women (or black or whatever)" makes no sense. As long as the ones that ARE interested and talented enough aren't discriminated against, society will be happy.
@willharriman1881Ай бұрын

I remain concerned by cursing Elder Glenn Loury's seeming insistence that Marxism is a valid alternative model to free, fair, transparent competitive markets under the rule of law. Nothing new in the power of patronage in all political systems. In fact, there is advantages of raising Harris to a position we all know she was never qualified for. Not good for healthy civil society let alone the position of the individual relative to the concentration of power in government structures.

This is strawman argument . 1. Social justice does not mean absolutely equal income to everyone ... It is more based on actual needs of people. 2. The only way to be wealthy is not really work and / or ability - you resources - high tech - credit provided by the gov which are given to specific groups and classes for free...
@mikebrines5708Ай бұрын
1. It's not based on the real needs of people but what their masters believe is their needs. No actual people are ever consulted. 2. I don't understand what you wrote. It makes no sense. 3. Social justice/Marxism is based on the idea that reality can be ignored and the vision of the annointed elites who know better can be implemented "if we just try." Doesn't matter what reality is. Doesn't matter if "the People" don't want it. The elites know what's good for them. It invariably results in tyranny as the elites force the "People" to obey. It's insane and evil.
