He is what you want in a modern forward, a complete forward able to combine traditional no.9 hold up play with the things normally associated with false nines like being able to link up with midfielders and knitting an attacking sequence together with his combination of physical power and high level of technique. United have struggled to get the best out of Hojlund (Garnacho doesn't seem to like passing to him much), I can see in some games maybe a two striker system with a Hojlund-Zirkzee partnership with a Bruno lurking not far behind them could be potentially productive.

Although I like what Zirkzee brings as a footballer. He is not nearly on Zlatan's level. He is far from the finisher that Zlatan was. Not saying he could not develop, but comparing them is ridiculous. Give Zirkzee some time and let him develop into his own best version of himself. Leave the comparison out of it.

I guess not otherwise you would have been smarter on here for everybody to see. Zlatan started with proper finishing when he arrived at capello where he showed him videos of marco van basten. Before that zlatan was comparable with zirkzee, the state and age which everyone else here compares him with. Nobody else here is comparing junior zirkzee with prima zlatan except you, like wtf!!!

Holland were quite toothless upfront at the Euros, Gakpo, a winger scored the goals... Zirkzee was nowhere to be found.. even Weghorst was preferred, didn't cut it at Bayern. I can't see what all the flapping is about... Doesn't look all that strong either, English defenders will kick him into the stands

Some of the defense and goalkeeping for his goals were pretty bad - you wouldn’t see that type of poor defending in the EPL. I’m worried we’re overhyping the lad, as usual.

40-something million is not a lot considering what we’ve paid for Hojlund and Antony. In fact I think this lad is priced fairly.

@@odysseasv7138Not sure if you understand the structure of this deal but £40 mill is alot to pay for this player considering Bologna want the money upfront - all of it, for his release. With Hojlund his transfer fee was staggered over X years which makes it easier financially. It’s a cash flow issue - hence why we’re stalling and trying to negotiate.

Not sure if you understand the structure of this deal but $40m is a lot. You can’t compare it to Antony or Hojlund because the deal structure was different. Their fees were staggered over X years which makes it more manageable for the club financially. With this deal, Bologna are asking for his fee upfront - all of it for his release. It creates a cash flow issue - hence why this deal is stalled as the club try to negotiate.
