The Science of Doping: Asthma Drugs and Performance

Earlier this year, British cyclist Simon Yates was caught up in a doping controversy related to terbutaline, a common asthma medication. Athletes can take the inhaled version if they get a doctor's note. But current testing methods can't differentiate between this and other banned versions.

I mean there is such things as sport induced asthma which can be more common in certain sports 🤷🏽

I have asthma i think yes meds really increase the performance almost in everything

Not prednisone. Prednisone destroys your performance.

I use epinephrine delivered via a nebulizer, Albuterol does not give me same relief.

It increases endurance, speed, quickness, more explosiveness and agility. It like steroids sort of but for cardiovascular system. That also cheating too

If you have severe asthma it doesn’t - it helps you survive.
