Through the use of direct proportion and composition, you will create a beautifully balanced and convincing animal sculpture.
The course is a four day workshop where you will learn about the design and form of the animal, with an emphasis on proportional anatomy. Reference charts designed by The Sculpture School make this process accessible to all abilities. You will also learn the Sinclair method Rapid Sketch Technique (RST) in clay application and fascinating techniques for creating surface textures such as fur. During the whole of the workshop you will receive individual coaching geared to your experience and individual requirements.

Hi!! you should make on line courses... im from mexico, it is very difficult to find a place where you can learn sculpture. There is a school but is full time and very difficul to be elected. The course online would be really nice... with some videos you make about technic and wich material to buy, and we could record videos maybe weekly to send it to you so that you can give us some feed back. Really nice school! (Y) congratulations!

I am taking a ceramic pottery class and when we attach to our clay, we typically have to slip and score each piece so it doesnt break or crack. Is this a different kind of clay that doesnt need to be fired? We fire up to cone 6 and 10 and i really want to work on a polar bear but not sure what clay to use and what temp to fire. Chances are i wont glaze it, maybe just a stain. Or i might glaze the portion and epoxy it after the last fire.

Hello I would like to know how do you give a price to your projects?. I mean what are the points that give it more value?.

The most prominent points would be, whether it is a one of a kind, or one of a very few limited editions. Also, the material with which the sculpture is made. The size and complexity of the figure also plays a major part in it's final price. At times the biggest factor can be how prominent the Artist is, and how sought after their works are. The art world can abuse this arbitrary pricing system by establishing prices that put many pieces way outside the range of all but the monied elites, whom deliberately promote such practices. There are still a huge amount of sculptures of exceptional quality out there, that are very affordable to the everyday person.
