Join me and my friend David as we search with our metal detectors the yard and grounds of a very old estate. David finds a lot of coins and some other interesting artifacts. I discover a few coins including a colonial copper or large cent., some neat doo-dads and a really cool Indian spear point which I donated to the property owner.

I was detecting an old house once and found over 300 pennies out in the front yard about 15 feet from the front porch. I was curious as to why so many pennies were in the yard. I tracked down a sibling and she explained that the house was a two bedroom house and that the children shared one room. Being that the house was so small it left very little space for mom and dad to have "private time" together. So, when they decided that they wanted some "alone" time, the dad would throw a handful of pennies out into the yard and the children would spend hours looking for the pennies! Left plenty of time for mom and dad to have their "together" time! I laughed so hard at this story!

We always have fun watching Aquachigger! Thanks Kindly! I've detected a number of early farms here in Pa and farmers didn't have much of a need to have coins in their pockets. Found some good old hardware and buckles and the like but very few good coins. Except for a farm where they had had a garden stand by the old road. That time I found a 1907 Barber quarter, a great old early military button and an 1808 large cent in good condition. Farms? Lots of wire, nails, horse and ox shoes but few coins, except for new ones. That arrow point was so awesome. I was like yelling, YES, YES, YES, THAT IS AN ARROW POINT! DON'T THROW IT DOWN!!! Whew...that was stressful! I thought for sure you were gonna say nope, and toss it back down. ha ha ha You got me on that one Chigg for sure. You sure know how to get a person going man, boy howdy! I dug up a propane line at my friends old house. First time metal detecting with my uncles metal detector in the 1970's. it had been aluminum sided and I found a lot of cutoffs, but I dug one and found a cool Indian arrowhead! I also found about 14 horseshoes, a few early license plates, and countless nails and jumk. Good times!

Ms Boo is a sweety me and my wife had a long haired chihuahua she was 14 when she passed away. We had her since she was born. It’s been a couple years since she passed away I still miss my baby dog bad.

Not Sure, glad I read before posting, I thought the same thing about the coins. Someone sat down to eat lunch or take a break when the addition was added to the house. Leaned back and the coins slid out of their pocket, it has happened to me. Also happened as a kid playing in the yard rolling around.

I would have been over the moon finding that spear point! It's hard to say how it found it's way to that point in time for you to find it. I'm thinking it was found by a child somewhere else and then lost around that house by the same kid. Would appreciate a closer look at the spear point if that can be part of another video or edited on to this one. Thanks!

@@TheAhHaTraveler I thought at first, it was part of a pot belly stove or a cook pot, then I noticed it was flat with no curve. An oddity for sure. You wouldn't need to press hard to cut dough :>)

I would put a sign out that reads " metal detecting permitted but fee is required" charge 100$ to hunt and occasionally go throw 50 cent pieces on the property......probably pay for the groceries every two weeks....I would bury weird items as well and tons of pull tabs.....
