To me, letting my mind travel extra mile on the already existed subject hints to creativity.

I think it's so AWESOME that someone does not speak english when I was a kid, I always imagined the 'scientists of the world' coming together and figuring things out of course there is nothing wrong with learning english; I just enjoy the sense of diversity and worlds coming together

It is true that the life teaches and also warns that if one is creative , he/she is considered as a social out cast. May be because of this reason that many refuse to become a out of the box thinker. It requires two things , one is extreme patience and the other is to be courageous even in adverse situations. Happy that the Nobel Laureates shared their experiences to the world.

Creativity= mysterious+ subcautious+ unconscious+ concentration+focus+ enthusiasm+ communication of all brain parts creating a pattern + be in the idea+ (some mediating variable which assist creativity)+ experiencing problems first hand+ interaction of two different persons/things+ a complete new view from some unrelated to the problem

Shirin Ebadi made a really good point which I think made everyone felt uncomfortable and that may explain the ensuing injection of levity. Her point is that without social justice, which often requires political actions, equality and inclusion can't happen. Creative thinking thrives through the exchange of ideas and people building on ideas; however, these men packaged it as a lone wolf endeavor. I wish Ebadi's contribution to this topic wasn't so hijacked and then replaced immediately with "people don't like you if you're creative." What people don't like is not being included in the process. Damn right Ebadi's concept of creativity is different from her male colleagues on stage... it is collaborative instead of self centered.

Curiosity with finding out the underlying factors of expression. The search for Why?How? What? The ability to connect the unconnected in some beautiful way.The search for patterns to bring a sense of order to our understanding. The unconscious brain is a driving force to figure this out.Perseverance is an essential ingredient to crystallize the truth!!

Thank you very much ladies and gentlemen. I agree that creativity requires concentration and in some instances it come spontaneously like when you suddenly open a window (or a door) in the morning. Very important for creating anything is to find the Inspiration and the motivation, a combination of adrenaline and dopamine, think about the problem and then combine it with all possible prior association in a 3-dimensional model that we create in our brains, trial and error is the final test, and eventually the years and years of education will pay off.

One day I will join them! Professor David Gross is stylish!! Creativity usually comes after deep thinking. If we face a challenge, mostly during our sleep our brain unconsciously connect different concepts and find the most probable solution to the problem. It suddenly pops up in the conscious mind... Yes that's known as an idea 💡

Good luck, Don't make it the final goal. The Nobel prize was and still just a medal. The important thing is what well you do to benefit the humanity.

Friend Asad, I had not noticed that and for a moment I was sad. That does speak for what the popular mood is. I want to cheer you up, so I can tell you that I watched it on a monday morning first thing before starting work : I am in love with my work and I do things that take me out of my love only to avoid going into an 'echo chamber'. I hope the 3000 who viewed make up by quality what they lack in quantity (in a cheesy way "may the size not matter" : apologies for the indiscrition and senseless punctuation and for causing anxiety to gentlemen who are 'endowed' ).

In problem solving we need to simplify the problem to basics.Look at the problem from as many ways as possible.Imagination always plays a part;the magic What if? is in there. Many factors at play with the fun element being part of the mix.The fun viewpoint gives the brain a more relaxed perspective. The unconscious plays a part when we are sleeping!!!

"The state in which one should be to seriously search for the truth is the condition of the thirsty, burning soul desiring the water of life, of the fish struggling to reach the sea, of the sufferer seeking for the true doctor to obtain the divine cure, of the lost caravan endeavoring to find the right road, of the lost and wandering ship striving to reach the shore of salvation." - Abdu’l-Baha, Baha'i Faith

I am hopeful for the future of truth because truth and righteousness is more constant than the northern star. People may not be aware or may have a wrong opinion about what truth and righteousness may be. The good news is that, because truth is constant, people will begin to speak out with persistence and influence others to realize that: Even if 7 billion people agree that a "thing that is wrong, is right"....... "the thing" will still be wrong and eventually people will come to their senses...... Example: Most people once thought the world was flat, they believed it to be the truth but it was always wrong and over time we came to understand the truth..... that the world is actually round and it was never flat just because so many people believed it to be so...... So there is always hope for the future of truth..... the only question is how far in the future a thing may take to be properly understood as being true.

All the intellectuals including Nobel prize winners just ignored this simple thing. There is an avoidable loss in public funds to the tune of Us $ 4 Trillions per year.Approx. equal to US $ 1.50 per day per person of the entire world. This is in Govt.funded constructions. This loss is after auditing by Financial Accountants, because they do not have the expertise. In 2015 GOPAC suggested an additional Technical Audit. Implement this suggestion and salvage US $ 4 Trillions per year to eradicate Global POVERTY

What is truth?....Pontius Pilate. I am the Truth.....Jesus Christ. As a believer in Jesus, born from above, I have constantly put my beliefs in His claims and teaching to scientific test and found them to come out wanting. Why? Because Truth is a person and I was trying to live the abundant life that Jesus promised, from an earthly perspective, cognitively. Only when I jettisoned any hope of realising a true experience with God, i.e. knowing Him personally through the doctrines that I had held for years, did I actually have to start the hard work of really believing what the bible teaches. i.e. That we can go into heaven and be in dual realms ( b.t.w. that`s supported by quantum entanglement theory but, happily, already found in the book of Hebrews v 6:19 ) , meet God personally and have the kind of relationship with Him, as a son of God that Jesus enjoyed as THE Son of God. Everything falls into place perfectly when viewed from a heavenly perspective. The claims of Jesus require our complete wholehearted surrender in order to be REALISED ( in it`s dual meaning of being apprehended by the mind but also, within that apprehension, becoming a daily reality.)
