@@bealuigigomez3958 Thank you for your response! Well appreciated! I like Ready for Love and Come Alive the most. I've noticed many people think READY FOR LOVE should be released first. I think COME ALIVE should be released first then READY FOR LOVE. There is a build-up that needs to be created. It's like LALISA then MONEY. I always thought MONEY was the stronger of the two. I think if they had released MONEY first, LALISA would not have been as big. I think YG released the songs in the right order. LALISA was the build-up song for MONEY, A very smart move! That's how I feel about COME ALIVE and READY FOR LOVE. COME ALIVE is a perfect song for the album build-up...It's like releasing the B side first, then the A-side. So both songs can become hits. I like the writing of TOUCHDOWN, I just feel like something is missing in the production.

Touchdown is one of THE BEST of unreleased songs out there, I always get disappointed when I hear super good unreleased music from artist's, and the thought of it being a hit or it's potential... I wish all artists make one album for their unreleased songs, even if its kind of impossible to do so.

That's what I've always thought. But music, especially in mainstream artists, is a HUGE business, and they (their labels) always try to release the best music possible. Plus, they can't release 60 songs in an album.

Touchdown basically won't be released...the producer of this song isn't a inhouse YG producer, the producer leaked these parts and started spoiling A LOT of BLACKPINK and YGA activities on her SNS so YG kicked her out (cuz she had no business going about being the "spoiler" when she ain't in YG in the first place)

BLACKPINK is a really big group in terms of selling, views, etc... but imagine how happy and how bigger they would be if YG just do his job right... I honestly love BLACKPINK, their voices, dances, songs, mvs, the girls... everything, but I hate the way YG does them... like, they have good songs that we may never listen them, they can write masterpieces, but we may never listen them, they can grow a lot and get out of their box, but we may never see it, and it makes me sad

Prior to this, the only unreleased songs that I wished they put out were Ready To Love and Touchdown, but Come Alive is my favourite right now. I really wish they come back with this song as a title track. It really could showcase all their talents really well and would do really well on music charts too. It has that special something in it that will make it one of the best songs ever

No it was their concept because the sound of the song was very different before and had different lyrics but 2ne1 had another song with a similar beat in their album so they didn't release aiiyl and then BlackPink released it with different lyrics (similar adlibs though and vocalisation)

You make a great point.....A song that is " especially encouraging for ppl in difficult or challenging situations" In the first year of COVID, it affected us all. We all lost a part of ourselves, the part of us we considered to be part of our daily lives. We were constantly reminded never to take life for granted. We were all told to stay home because it was the safest place to be...but was it? Perhaps, physically but not mentally for many. Relationships(platonic/intimate) were tested, families lost loved ones, and the extroverts became introverts. There is no time like the present to regain our identity and embrace the very essence of who we've come to be.

As far as i know, touchdown is originally for blackpink but it is also in discussion for new YG girl group debut song. The one that sings touchdown demo are YG trainees themselves (Kang Seojin is one of them). But it has been taken back because the song was leaked

This is just my opinion, and a strong one. YGE & BP, "COME ALIVE" is the most explosive global chart hitter on the album. I'm not taking anything away from the other new songs. They're great songs and hits but, not on the same level as COME ALIVE. It's a worldwide MASSIVE hit and very pop-radio friendly. Which we all know makes a big difference.!!! To be fair, I've listened to every new song every day, a couple times a day, just to make sure I was being non-bias. And every time, it hits me the same way. If you really want to hit the fans and even gain a new audience for BP. COME ALIVE is the smash! I would place a wager just to prove my point. The only condition is Lisa HAS to sing the first verse. Lisa would nail it.!! (she's on an all-time high right now, what better way to introduce the album. It's strategic) Hopefully, my comment will be taken into consideration. Wishing you much success BlackPink!

When you are a professional composer/songwriter, you can at LEAST play the piano, are musically and vocally ear trained, and can sing. Once a song is completely written it is recorded by a work-for-hire studio vocalist. The vocalist is determined by who can vocally sell the song the best (not nessarily the best singer).The composer and/or production team already have an idea of which artist or group they would like to physically pitch it too. In regards to COME ALIVE, this was the process. Madison was selected based on her tone, texture and vocal ablility. The writer(s) felt she was the right singer to vocally sell the song, and she did. The powers that be either chose the song for BP or it was written specifically for BP. The icing on the cake is the composition and songwriting ALONE makes this song a HIT and a CLASSiC. Do we really need to question BP's vocal ability on COME ALIVE? This is where vocal ear training is used!

I'm so sad about Ready For Love. They had already sung their parts and everything just for it to not get an official studio release... ugh 😤 I think it would have fit decently with THE ALBUM or even a mini album after that (whenever YG finally decides to give them a comeback. its been too long). All this wait for Blackpink and the shit YG does has made me grow apart from them as a group even though they were my first kpop group. It's kinda sad ngl

The 2NE1 song is GO AWAY and is actually the reason AIIYL was never a 2NE1 song, because they thought the two songs were 'too similar' (which they are, which is why I love both. GO AWAY is my fav 2NE1 song to this day.)

Great work putting this selection of songs together. I think all the songs not released were not released for a reason, they didnt hit as hard as those that made "The Album" release. 8 songs, it could have been more, but not all were polished enough for release. If Touchdown was released as is, it wouldn'f have done very well against the other songs. in my opinion. and the songs which were fan made, mad beats over their lyrics, sound ok, but not album ready. Patiently waiting for their official come back, expecting every song to be a fire bomb.

You know it would have been great if YG released these because all of them are a bop! But they have their reasons for not to release these songs because if they didn’t they would have dropped them. We might like them but from a professionals view there might be something lacking in their side thus not dropping the songs

Ready for love definitely has potential to be even a title track, but YG probably is not going to do that, if they release it as a b-side I would be very happy tho, the song deserve it. I think Touchdown it is a really good song but don't know if it fits in Blackpink's concept. I think i would work better if it's sing by another artist in YG like Anda, same with Come Alive. Heard the DDU DU DDU DU demo and it sounds completely the same as the original song so i don't see the point to release it again. The original version of As if it's your last is way better in my opinion, so the same goes to that one. Don't know what to say about Whistle and Say Lalisa, those tracks sound good, but i think they're great just like that, no need to be released. I know Without You is just Don't Know What To Do but with different elements, but it sounds really nice to me, Lovesick Girls demo too, it's very healing ksks 💔 In conclusion, they're unreleased versions for a reason, but Ready for love, Touchdown and Come Alive really deserve to see the light.
