The fact that Bandai is allowing Play TCG to monopolize the tournament market is mind blowing 🤯 . There should be an abundance of tournament organizers constantly trying to better themselves via competition. Praying Bandai realizes how silly how this is.

I feel like we need to organize as a community and really get this info out there to players and do what we can to make Bandai hear our voices. This is all so insane to me! But after Nats, I really hope that event at least opened Bandai's eyes a little. I've never been to a foreign tournament, but compared to the streams I've seen from Japan and Europe, the LA event felt super ghetto and cheap and quite honestly, it was just embarrassing. Or at least I'd be embarrassed if I were Bandai...

Another thing they could do is charge some sort of fee for side event entry. I remember hearing that for NA Nationals they had no money to pay for internet at the venue so they couldn't stream the tournament.. like bruh what kind of competitive event does not stream their event in this day and age. edit: don't know if Bandai is telling them they're not allowed to do this.. but if they can, why not? They'd also be able to assign more judges to the side events as well if there was some sort of fee to enter

Surprised you haven’t seen a slow play warning. I was warned for slow playing after about a minute in a treasure cup. I’m a total amateur, and my game was being streamed by Egman, so it was flustering to say the least.

Hearing that PlayTCG has the final say is so disheartening, since every playtcg event I’ve attended is always the worst compared to the other organizers. It explains a lot too, with such power they have no reason to give any effort

This information is so surprising to me. I don’t know everything about tournaments and who host them but when it came to Bandai card games I thought it was sort of territorial of who hosted what. If a tournament was taking place on the west coast, it was most likely hosted by CoreTCG. Tournament hosted in Florida, hosted by PPG. To hear that it isn’t that way is not a huge thing, but to hear that PlayTCG is basically in charge of everything when it comes to budgeting and such is just a total surprise and very concerning. Even if they were a great TO, which they are not, having that much say is ridiculous.

Yeah, Play TCG is pretty pathetic. After nats they should have lost all rights to host any future events. If WOTC had a tournament ran like nats, whoever ran it would never host any big events anymore. They need to do better or they deserve to lose that contract.

One piece definitely needs slow play warning especially in overtime, Ive watched people purposely win by running the clock out and it’s sickening to see. I hope they do start improving these big tournaments because this game has gotten to popular. Can’t wait for the plus 1000 regional in peoria in may that should be fun.

you think they would do better since they did DBS and digimon for a few years already lol they could also hire professionals to make bandai tcg+ better so we don't have to use stupid bcp the thing is that they don't care that much
