I couldn't agree more John. Why is it we don't focus more on the parts we got through? It's crazy, how us humans like to beat ourselves down on what didn't work. We're learning, no matter how long it takes, right? We have to keep saying it till we really believe it! I'm pretty brilliant and awesome too John! 🙂 New sub. You're awesome! 💞

Hi Tins, I agree with you and with John. It is very helpful to hear and be reminded about. I think our brains may have been hit hard to stick with this as a safety pattern . There is a very short video Dr Deborah Lee. Trauma, compassion and our brains That is not the correct title, but it will find the video. That and the one I mentioned above, I think are extremely helpful.

@@melliecrann-gaoth4789 Hello, thanks so much for your note, Yes, I do feel the same. We do so many things through our subconscious thinking, not aware that it may be a protection mechanism. But, maybe now that we know we do that--I'm sure it will make it easier. :-) And also, thanks for the video. I will definitely scope it out. Pleasure to meet you here. John has some wonderful wisdom that he shares with us. Wishing you both a wonderful weekend ~💫💛👍

Hello John - I just found your videos last night and subscribed. Thank you- it is really good information and talk in more than information, I think you will know what I mean. I really liked hearing your braying donkeys on another video! Also today I rewatched a very important ted talk video. It’s about 12 minutes long. I was watching with to get the spelling of the presenters name correct. I want to tell someone about this video. I’ve been planning to do so for quite a while, they are in a position in their work to spread this information/ education. Then I thought I would really like to tell you about it. I stopped watching the video, to search back on my history- so that I could add this comment. It is a TED talk from Canberra. A social psychologist. Dina Mc Millan. “ Unmasking the abuser”. I do hope you watch this. Also Don Hennessy an Irish man on intimate partner abuse. There are a couple of short clips. This is all about context of when you’re saying we are doing great and try to start telling ourselves.

I have experienced that also my getting through a lot, lots has been a target on my head in very unlikely places and like people have gone a twisted road to bring me down. It’s been weird and twisted.
