Great idea. I curl my hair sometimes with an iron depending on the look I'm going for. I feel they create a mor soft wave which can be nice!

I talk about that some in the video I linked in the end card! I sleep on a silk pillowcase and use a silk scrunchie to keep my hair lightly pulled up. Sometimes on rare occasions I don't pull it up and it's 50/50 on how nice it looks the next morning.

Hi there ! I just found your channel while searching! At 57 I just had 15” cut off. Shedded a tear but I’m glad I did. It was time.. I got a bob no inverted. More of a Jenny McCarthy style. I’m learning my products as I go. I have coarse and naturally wavy hair. What do you suggest I do to keep my hair smooth. Even if I tuck my hair behind my ear or outside, it tends to crunch up . Thank you .

Hi Summer . . . am watching this great video for the fourth time! That's how long it takes to cement all your wonderful tips into my brain! Secret 2 talks about getting your hair bone dry before curling. How does this relate to the airwrap which recommends curling while your hair is damp?

So glad you enjoy! The air wrap is completely different. Yes those attachments should be used on damp hair. However, "curls" from the air wrap are not going to look the same as curls from a curling iron.

I really like Kristin Ess the Signature ones. I also really like Paul Mitchell Extra Body Line. They are about half the cost of Moroccan Oil and great products!

Great tips, which I will definitely try because my fine, thin hair won't hold a curl if you bribed it! Question: after sleeping on your curls, do you comb or brush it the next day? I imagine that combing or brushing would mess up the curls, but will not doing so make the hair look messy?

I usually sleep with my hair pulled up in a loose silk scrunchie and I sleep on a silk pillowcase so I feel that helps prevents some of the possible mess. I usually just flip my head over and lightly use my fingers to fluff and then see if I have to touch up a few pieces.

My hair is very fine and thin so this is a great way to use products recommended to ensure 3 days of curls even if they loosen it is okay. I don't want to wash my fine hair but 2-3 times per week. Any suggestions on collagen use to help with thinning hair. Would love to know what your clients are finding helpful.

Yes that's why I love curling it with a smaller iron as well because you get more days of curl! Most of them seem to use the brand Vital Proteins! I have used them a lot in the past and just ordered from a company called InnoShred, but I have not used it long enough to gather my full thoughts yet.

Dear Summer, I love your videos, and am lovin' your glasses :) I am 48 and have lovely medium length greying hair, can I use the Moroccan Oil products without getting a yellow hint to my grey? I am a bit worried the oil will cause yellowing. And are the T3 products also gentle for grey hair? I would love to buy their straightener and curl with it. Any hints for grey hair very welcomed :) Thank you soooo much :)

I never had clients with blonde hair that used them complain about any of their products yellowing their blonde hair. If you're using the actual oil just make sure it's the Light Version. They actually just came out with a purple oil (amzn.to/3KPiHDf) made specifically for blonde hair that I'm so excited for! Gonna grab some for my MIL as she has pure white hair! In the salon the girls I work with also love their products. The key is to make sure you're not over heating. Appropriate sized sections and the right heat do best. Also start with your heat lower and then see how your hair responds and if you feel you need to go higher up the temp.

Just curious if you feel positively about Redken's Volume Injection shampoo and conditioner. I've been using them for a couple years now. I wonder if I'd like something else better! I would say my hair is not fine, but is "normal," but has thinned due to aging/menopause. I loved all the excellent tips, as always!

I have actually not used that one yet! I have always had a love hate relationship with Redken Shampoos in my career lol. It was one I need to try though! Currently testing out Maria Nilla's Volume Shampoo!

Great tips! Thanks. Are you a swimmer? It is hard to imagine any regular land critter being comfortable with that backpack stunt, that's why I asked. I am a former swim coach and I have seen a thing or two when it comes to people panicking in the water, even when *not wearing a weighted pack. The swim issue is super relevant...right now I am dealing with a fracture, so my only sport is swimming...not a great combo with pretty, styled hair. 😒😒 I'm trying to take these tutorials and figure out what works best with my restrictions.

I am a native Floridian so I spend most of my free time either in the pool, or at the beach! Growing up was always boating on the St. Johns River! Swimming does take its toll on hair though that's for sure!

You don't want to spray so much the hair feels damp! Just a light coating and if you feel it's too damp wait a few seconds before running iron through.

I cannot for the life of me operate a regular curling iron. I've tried with or without the clamp and I just can't get the hang of it. I finally bought the Beachwaver .75" curling iron and I was able to curl my hair for the first time! I've never tried using a texture spray first but using a hairspray afterwards does seem to help. Still, whenever I use a curling iron my hair always starts to get super frizzy. Maybe I'm not using enough product to hold the style?

You could, but clarifying only needs to used for the purpose of deep cleaning your hair/scalp essentially. It's not meant for use outside of that.

Yes but those curls are not the same as flat iron curls. They are more so a Velcro roller or hot roller curl

I have fine hair. I rarely ever heat style my hair. I do overnight curls and recently my hair isn't holding the curl. Idk If it's the super hot weather or my long long hair.

For me personally the overnight curls rarely works for me(this was when my hair was longer). Granted my hair is very straight so the whole head band wrap thing just doesn't work for me. I have thick, course, frizzy curly hair. No matter what hair products i use, combing my hair after showering is hell, ecen with leave in conditioner spray. Because of this, I onlycwash my hair every other day or every other 2 days. I wear it up a lot because its easier. Also, I air dry it 80% of the way. If I yry to curl it or straighten it, it doesnt look that great. Can you dova video for women like me? Thanks.

Nothing wrong with store bought as there as some great options. Are you using products for smoothing or frizz when shampooing and styling? Any anti humidity products?
