On testing characters you struggle with, this isn't technically the same but I started playing Tom and Jerry, who previously felt like a wild card when I fought them. I'm a staunch batman main and TaJ was a struggle to fight personally, but after I played as them myself I found it WAYYY easier to fight them knowing what to expect.

Level up your characters and do all the missions you can that gives them as rewards.
