Hey guys! In this Rocket League tips video, I go over how to air roll left/right faster and with more car control using the tornado spin! Since one of my Patreon members asked me about this, I thought it would be cool to give an in-depth breakdown of how I aerial and how I have improved my aerial car control with air roll in Rocket League. Hopefully, this helps you all with your air rolling and aerial car control as well!

This is not how people who use direcitonal air roll adjust. Watch any guy with an overlay and they mostly hold boost. The adjustments all come from the left stick, it's impossible to boost at exactly the right times like this video suggests.

@@r3prografyt772 I’ll try to give some air roll tips from the top of my head because I don’t feel like watching the video a second time: 1. It will take a LOT of time to learn this mechanic and get the muscle memory down in your head. Could take months of dedicated training 2. Using air roll left, when you’re flying the main direction you’ll move your stick in is to the right (although there are still many times you will move it left) 3. Emphasis on the first point. It’ll take time

“if you’re air roll left, you should never really have to move your joystick to the left to make an adjustment” This is an epic tutorial for new directional air roll users, but this specific tip only applies to new learners. You eventually need to learn to push your joystick all directions and the effect it will have on your car.

I thought he was saying that tip is specific to directional adjustments to regular (not inverted) tornado spinning which is the only thing he did the entire video.
@fluffylittlebear
@fluffylittlebear 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I learned this after several weeks of practicing with air roll right. I realized my adjustments were too slow and that I needed to learn to move the stick in all directions. You really notice it when you try to air dribble while tornado spinning. Gonna be so much harder if you're only moving the stick to one side. Also noticed from watching other players' overlays that they were moving their stick in every direction while air rolling. Even Spook moves his stick the other way while saying not to. Lol.

Tho the directional air roll lets you do inside spin and outside spin( as you have call normal / reverse air rolling) would like to see some advantages of them. Actually, turning your stick left (with air roll left) is a very useful mechanic, I usually use it for double taps and most importantly to make more drastic adjustments to your car. I personally suggest that after you try to incorporate the tips from this video, you go and try adding this “inverted tornado spin” )that’s what I call it lol) Loved the video dude, keep it up

I got champ 1 for the first time last season. Mechanically I'm not the best out there. It's all about car positioning and team rotating. Main thing is adapting to teammates who ballchase. Just rotate well and take a more defensive role in the game and be the counter attacker. Honestly it's game sense over mechanics.

I spend time nearly everyday working on ground and air control; this video is something I’ll implement today. I play with an older fella who’s convinced he’s just holding me down, and at times I think he’s right. I use his downtrodden outlook as motivation to become a better player and figure out how to improve our gameplay as a team. Though he can’t air dribble, flick, wall/ceiling/ground pinch, he can shoot the ball accurately most of the time and doesn’t rage quit. I often send him videos like yours in hopes he watches them and gleans something from it. Today I’m gonna send him this videos and sunless khans 2s rotation video. We managed to get him champ ranking, for one day, in hockey and he couldn’t believe it. I still call him champ today, a rank I personally have never achieved. I almost always play with friends who just enjoy the game, and I never wouldn’t want to change that for them. I do, on a personal level, really want to climb. I recently have been grinding a little bit on my own and am starting to realize the habits that playing at a low elo creates. On this journey, a coach would be invaluable to me and something I would never forget. To have someone willing to help me as I have helped others would feel really good and be a welcome change of pace. I know you’ve seen thousands of comments, and honestly today is the first day I’ve seen your videos, but here is my humble plea all the same. I’m am an eager and willing student. My rank is diamond with just under 1000 hours of gameplay Best wishes and thank you for the content.

I've been trying to get better with my ariels and have only just started trying to tornado spin. I thought I had watched enough tutorials... I by chance came across this one, which is the best by far!

In all my time playing rocket league 2k hours and all the tutorials I've watched nothing has been explained better to me, I didn't even know I needed to focus on this more until you highlighted it in this video. I hope I will be able to implement this on kmb and that the rest of your video are just as informative. Maybe I'll finally get back to champ.

D3 in 2s & 3s, was C1 at the end of last season in 3s. And thank you! I've been wondering for a long time what the deal is with tornadospinning, and now I formally understand the why and not just the how. Also I can't believe that only 3% of your viewers are subbed!

Awesome video. I’ve watched quite a few videos on this topic and you really delivered it well. I’m still in the very early stages, but this has given me a little insight to what’s required and given me some motivation to keep going with it. Would love to be coached to GC. I was looking at paying someone to coach me but this would be awesome. I’m really putting in the hours and feel this is the next step for me. I’m a mixture of Plat 3 and Diamond 1! Looking forward to hearing who the winner is!

This is the most informative video I have watched about air roll. I have spent thousands of hours working at this mechanic and still haven't come close to mastering. Also a first time viewer and will sub. Thanks again, maybe I'll see you in your patreon.
