My friend Max Lucado says, “The good life begins not when circumstances change but when our attitude toward them does.”
We think if we had a nicer car or a bigger house or a larger salary or a new face or new body, then we’d be content.
Writing to the Christians in Philippi, the apostle Paul said, “Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little” (Philippians 4:11-12 NLT).
Paul was in difficult circumstances when he wrote these words. He wasn’t spouting theories from an ivory tower. He was under house arrest, writing from the school of hard knocks. Yet Paul found contentment because he rejoiced in the Lord.
Earlier in Philippians 4, he wrote, “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” (verse 4 NKJV). He didn’t say that we should rejoice in circumstances. Sometimes that’s hard to do. But Paul did say that we should rejoice in the Lord.

Have you all seen the Alice Cooper interview? Greg Laurie has zero discernment of who is a brother or sister in Christ. And this isn't about tearing someone down this is about following sound doctrine and being aware of false doctrines. I have a KZfaq link that went to the interview, but for some reason KZfaq says that it's scamming people by literally linking a video interview of Greg Laurie, they said it wasn't related when it's 100 related, but because it's showing something truthful, I'm not allowed the post the link to the KZfaq interview. How interesting is that. 🤷‍♂️

This was a wonderful teaching. I've been all my life. I've loved the Lord all my adult life, and God has definitely had to tell me to stop talking also. When I was young, I was nicknamed "motor mouth." Luckily, I grew out of that, mostly. Thank you for showing me God's divine nature on my human life. Praise God you're His Blessings

Greg, thanks to this sermon today I am going to start the process of forgiving someone that is the very first person I felt disgust and so close to hate which is something I've never felt before, because it's making me ill. I tell Jesus that can't stand that spirit inside me every minute of everyday. I rebuke it over and over nut c as I go thru my day. But it creeps in and I want to find her and slap her face. So I'm ready now to rid my heart of that emotion of hate, Please pray for me because I really want to be free of this terrible feeling. That kind of feeling takes up to much room that could be filling with love for others. Thank you

Keep praying… I was the same way. I hated a person sooo much for 20 plus years… then I had to work with her so it made it harder… I prayed and begged God to help me to get rid of this anger and hate, I didn’t want it, it’s exhausting. I started to pray for her (pray for your enemy) and in time I confronted my Goliath and we made peace. I give God all the glory. He did that. He gave me the strength. He made me realize that my pride and ego got in my way. I no longer have hate for her. We may not talk but it’s okay because I no longer have any ill feelings towards her and that’s because of God. I feel free. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and my chains are gone. It is the best feeling ever and I am forever thankful and great full to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The longer you have hate in your heart, just remember you’re giving Satan that satisfaction. Give God the satisfaction. Pray and forgive. It’s the greatest feeling ever 🙏

Haha!! Yess!!! I am such a drag and such a downer at times! I have no reason to feel sorry for myself. I actually always have a reason to be happy for myself. I am saved!!! Hallelujah! My life is not sad! It's happy because Jesus Christ has saved me! Regardless of the situation I have a good and happy life. I am thankful for what I have because maybe I wouldn't love God or be as close to him as I am right now if I had more or less. I thank God for exactly what I have, and I'll thank him for whatever is given and whatever is taken away, because my God will use every circumstance for the benefit of our relationship!

So, when someone made sure to be in good shape and always looked at least ten years younger, but then got a rotten chronic disease and aged 15 years in actual 3 years time, and that disease has taken most everything worked for the last decade, what does that make God in your theology?

Hello Greg, I couldn’t listening to you so long and you are always enlightening everytimes listen to you. I have went another major operation again on October and God has me miraculously healed inside my body on May Operations…. I have told to my surgeon that May two operations stitches inside was healed but the surgeon didn’t believe me at all so I told to God, my surgeon didn’t believe me so make him believe Lord that you’re real God I am praying 🙏 and guess what when I went operation on 22nd October and when he was opened my body and the first words he said was “Impossible” inside my body was completely healed, of course, God can do anything impossible I/you believe. And now one more operation only left in next year and I will pray 🙏 days and nights until next year that time I’ll pray 🙏 for sure but I don’t worry about it anymore because I am trust him completely that he’ll do rest for me I know now. He is listen to me and talk to me as well. He is super wonderful to me. Oh, I love him so much. 🙏🙏🙏✊👍 I’ll fight back any temptation comes over me because God is with me. And yes, God is telling me ~ don’t worries mate too. I live in Australia 🇦🇺

So here I am listening to this great word Pastor Greg, and at the part about leaving the past behind I receive a text. Who may you ask? My estranged wife of three plus years!!! I have done my best from the outside to be a good influence and example for her and her children but she is even more lost than when we were both lost together! It's neither of us first marriage but when I came to the Lord I wanted to do my best to keep my covenant I made in marriage and allow him to work out the details. So now here I am back to the beginning of this lol. I believe I've been released but not sure if I'm just looking back or waiting for an answer! At this point being 59 and on my own for 3 years I'm not certain I'll ever be interested in another woman, although I feel a sadness and loss not being married. Who says it's tough being young and in love lol! Not even sure why I felt led to write this but here it is. Oh BTW, I really enjoy your teachings and how smoothly you seem to do so! Thank you for your service to the Lord, it's been a great blessing to me🙏
