The caran full blender, is my favorite, but they should come with a safety case around them because you drop that and it’s dead. I was kind of sad because they’re kind of expensive.

Haha yeah they do break easily. I've had some show up broken in transit. Sigh.

I love my Prisma blender! Favorite part is dragging the color into missed spots. I’ll be trying the Caran d’ache soon. Great comparison as always!

I was so excited for this one! Pencil blenders were (honestly still are) one of my biggest struggles with coloring. There are videos of comparisons but they don’t typically cover examples on how and WHEN to use it. It’s taken me yearsss of trial and error to figure out how they work. Like how many layers are too many, am I able to go back over the color again after I’ve used the blender, etc. Loved this one! 🖤🖤🖤🖤

Awe thank you Lisa. I'm glad this one was helpful. Blenders were quite the mystery to me as well. Took me a lot of practice to figure out how I enjoyed using them and then just went from there.

But I own all of them so. I like to use the marker ones too. Because they got marker ones for pencils. And sometimes I just use the blender from just any old marker set. I usually use my Tombow one. If I’m doing a big space because speedier.

I have marker ones but don’t use those on non water based mediums just because they suck too much pigment

@@ColorfullyOptimistic I was surprised though when you said they don't drag color? I move color with mine all the time.... There has to be enough pigment down though. Sugah Sweet did a video on coloring with Prismacolors using a Caran D'Ache... He colors different than me lol he colors his whole picture first, then comes back with the blender and he covered complete white areas by moving the color with the blender... Papers make a difference too, I dunno lol

May give the Splender another try, I bought one years ago but it was all scratchy and the lead looked speckled, might've just gotten a bad one. I actually use the Prismacolor blender like a precision eraser, since they are so opaque and like to lighten the lineart, tracing the lines with the (well sharpened) colorless blender darkens them again.
@ColorfullyOptimistic

That's quite odd that yours was scratchy -- I agree you may have gotten a bad batch.

Yeah the Derwent blender seems to add the colour of the lead into whatever it touches. It does the job but vibrant colours become dull and darker. I don’t like them but still using to finish my supplies before getting new. Lucky for me they seem finish fast. Thanks for the video, I will try your recommendations.

Yeah some blenders do dull out the color. It is hard because there are soooo many different blenders out there.
