Brilliant! Please suggest more integrated moves, and esp for core + balance for people with arthritic knees. Squats are not good in any form…

Get a slant board. I put one by my bedroom window. Stand on it when I draw the curtains and look outside for a couple of minutes. I pop onto it whenever I go into the room. The boards are progressive so you can work up to a steeper slope. Brilliant things. Calf stretches taken care of. They are also useful for squats as they allow you to go down further if you still have tightness there. Squat instead of bend to do do things like load washing machine and dishwashers. Balance practice when you are cooking.

Thank you. I find it difficult to leave the house (for many reasons) So, integrating exercises like this throughout my day is a perfect way of doing something to help. I'm fed of breaking bones when i take a bad fall in the house as each one sets me back so much. Thank you Will

There was a recent article in New Scientist which reported research showing a connection between speed of arm movement and likelihood of falling. I think it said that more research was planned to see if training to increase arm speed could help prevent falls.

Weight training. Especially explosive moves. Falls are fundamentally a muscle wasting problem. I am clumsy and grip up pretty much daily but I seldom fall because I can catch myself. And if I do fall (did it running two years ago) I bounce because my arms etc can take the impact. A fall should not be a disaster.

Def need this advice.have fell 3 times since last July.. mechanical fall unable to steady myself and stop the fall so I will def try this thankyou sooo much.👍

Great video! Every time I'm standing in line at the grocery store (or stuck standing anywhere really), I do similar exercises, including standing on my tiptoes, etc., using the shopping cart as something to hold onto. This also keeps my legs from aching from "just standing there".

Great, Wil ! Here's another, curiously, which I just added myself. I live in NYC., so I find myself in elevators a lot. So - while going up AND down, just add some heel drops. Why waste that time ? Cheers, mate. Thumbs up from NYC. Richard

I have fallen 3 times. The first time I fell and don't know why I fell. I blacked out. 5 months later, it was determined that I had a Schwannoma tumor on my 8th cranial nerve. Thank you for these workouts to help me regain my balance.

I never heard of integrated exercise until now and I've been doing it for years with these same three exercises along with others. I'm 64 years old and my work requires climbing ladders and scaffold up to 10 meters tall. Falling would be more than just painful so maintaining my balance is important. I make the squats and one legged stand more challenging by doing them with my eyes closed. I don't recommend that for most people.

Don't shuffle, properly dry your hands should you slip they'll be of no use even making it worse as they'll slip upon grabbed surface, if you've to up yourself from the bath 🛁 no harm in draining the water and putting already used towel to stand upon thus securing your footing.
