An added warning, using any kind of tincture, make sure they are preserved in alcohol or vinegar and there's no Xylitol!! I almost bought a tincture of 5 types of medicinal mushrooms, from a health store, for my dogs, luckily I checked the tiny print and there was Xylitol in it!!! :O !!!! 😬

Only gave one dose of cbd chews to my Sheltie who hours later began to frolic and had a serious case of the munchies. Had been trying to take a little weight off to ease back pain. Acupuncture and cold laser therapy seems to be helping. I appreciate all the new suggestions.

Just wanted to relay that I appreciate you. I think your input has helped keep my senior dog (Howard is 17 yrs old) kicking it and comfortable. Even though he has definitely slowed down some over the years. He is still has his wonderful moments of tenaciousness that I so much enjoy.

I always want it to be a vet but growing up conditions and circumstances did not allow me now I’m close to 40 and would not make sense, lol. Anyway THANK YOU for all your work!! When using DMSO make sure everything is CLEAN . it draws everything it touches deep into the body . I also suggest a chiropractic adjustment. My older guy gets his neck and back out all the time and this is the only thing that really helps him get back to normal! Thank you for all you do!!!!

Cbd is wonderful stuff for my 8 year old hound mix that has had surgeries from leg and pelvic injury. I was skeptical at first but after the first dose I realized she benefits from it, usually at night before bed.

Thank you!! I really need this information. My dog injured his back 3 years ago. It was pretty bad and they wanted to do surgery. I chose to rehab him instead and I was successful. Until about a month ago and he was in bad pain again. My vet thought he blew his knee and once again wanted to do surgery. I chose to wait and go to people I know that do body work on dogs and who helped me before. Under anesthesia they did not find any issues with is knee. It’s all his back. Sure glad I didn’t rush to surgery. I’m not sure exactly what it is but they did a shock wave treatment on him and within 2 days he was like a new dog. I recently stopped the prescribed meds. So this was perfect timing. I’d be much happier having the things you’ve recommend on hand. Thank you, thank you

My dog has some back issues so once a month she goes with me to my chiropractor who adjusts people and animals. She's great and has really helped both of us.

Thank yo uDr Jones - how very timely! Exactly what has just been happening to my 16 + mini schnauzer. In November Oskar held his left back leg up and couldn't walk - therefore he had difficulty squatting to defecate and urinate. The Vets diagnosed inter disc degeneration (IDD). I took him to a qualified Vet/Acupuncturist who diagnosed acute pain from the sciatica nerve. After initial manipulation/acupuncture/massage he started walking again. The problem recurred in the right back leg, then left back leg again. After several sessions and manipulations he has just started to walk again - I'm giving him pain killers when necessary, but the message is that while there is IDD, the major problem is the sciatica nerve. I suspect he will need ongoing adjustments and acupuncture. I must try the CBD!

You were looking for a alternate dog food? How about Fromm dog food? They are family owned in Wisconsin. They did have a recall for shredded beef can food with too much vitamin D. I've used it in the past. You can't buy it from Chewy.

Robaxin works amazing! My dog has a disc herniation. (dog) NSIADs and gabapentin only helped a bit. The Robaxin added is amazing. Also herbs and lazer therapy.

Good day dr. You are awesome!! We do not get these medicines in SA. Please advise what is your thoughts for Remadyl? My vet is recommending this anti inflammatory meds as my dog has hard muscles from shoulders to tail. 😢

Hi Andrew, my dog Keno got an ACL when she was 5 but now when it's really cold her leg collapsed when she bends to run and she's 12 now. It's even hard for her to stand because she keep moving to keep the weight of her leg. How do I order some CBD for her pain.

I have taken my dog to the vet twice. They think she has a neurological disorder in her spine because she in knuckling her front paw. I went through a bottle of your CBD oil, a jar of supplements, the krill pills and dmso. They put her on steroids. Is there anything else that will help her?

A few people in this thread already have mentioned veterinary laser treatment (AKA photobiomodulation), which is effective, but expensive. However, home therapy devices using LED light emitting the same wavelengths as the laser devices are highly effective, too, and they aren't so expensive anymore. I have a small handheld device, about the size of a pocket flashlight, that has eliminated my own pain from rheumatoid arthritis and from a herniated cervical disc that has slipped back into place after bulging for years. Because it's so small, it's super easy to use it on my dog, too - and I can use it daily for less than the cost of one cold laser treatment at the vet's office. There are a great many similar models to choose from, but (just in case you might ask) mine is a Lifepro Lumicure, and I can no longer imagine living without it.
