I still can't believe they haven't found out that they need to add some diffuse lighting. The kessil simulates the sun, but they forgot about the skydome.

With kessil, the shimmer is monochrome, but the light cone is very narrow.

I find the shimmer of kessil's just too unnatural it's just too fast because of the surface movement of the water. i can't look at a tank with kessils on for long unless it has very low surface movement of the water to make it more natural...the shimmer out on the reefs is much more serene...slower and larger in scale

I am so confused! Is shimmer not the same as the disco effect ? Nothing but ripples from water. I do know in irder to get less of that effect you need a lense more spaced ou. I had 90 degree on a current and took it back and bought 120 degree and no diso ball! But current sucks! No uv or violets and my corals wont grow! I thought of oredring thes used or ai hydra or gen 4 radion. Radions probably the best? I am not going to be hanging from a dasiy chain so I hope I can get coverage i need without hotspot and a shimmer or maybe a tiny tint bit. I also hadsome aquar mars and returned them from disco ball, I wont be able to reutna ny of these beacsue I am buying used this time!
