How was he a gift for God. He didn't teach sex after marriage. He didn't teach for a woman to righteously submit to a man, a man must love his wife like Christ loved the church. That means man must love and serve his wife. Christ didn't come to be serve but serve. Kevin never mentions Ephesians 5:22-33. Which is man's role and woman's role in marriage. So no, he is not God sent.

I was “in love” with my husband as a teenager. It’s just a feeling, you can’t live your life based solely on that. The real relationship starts when that burning desire cools, you learn what love really is. It’s duty, it’s sacrifice, it takes hard work and perseverance, it’s beautiful. He is the love of my life, that will never change. Feelings come and go but mature love isn’t based on feelings. EDIT TO ADD: RIP Mr. Samuels. You completed your mission. Now, it’s up to us to do the work.
@ancientfuture9690
@ancientfuture9690 2 жыл бұрын
I agree. 'In love' is essentially 'In lust'. After this overwhelming and intense feeling dies down (because it has to eventually, otherwise it'd become unbearable). Love can emerge after that stage because love (like you listed) is made evident by things like duty, sacrifice, hard work, devotion etc. Anything before that is just the desire to get inside one another's drawers.

I have a genuine question. Do you believe that you should continue to be with someone once you’ve fallen out of love with them?
@mjbset93
@mjbset93 2 жыл бұрын
I hate that people throw the term Love around quite recklessly. Actual love is doing the things good for your spouse and yourself that aren’t fun and comfortable all the time. Self-love means going to doctors, counselors, and having a fitness routine. Some of these people talking about self-love haven’t done anything uncomfortable in years that would benefit them. That first caller is emblematic of that deluded definition of “self-love”. If she doesn’t divorce her husband within 5 years I would be very surprised.
@Girlgonewise
@Girlgonewise 2 жыл бұрын
@@MR-zu7nw I don’t believe you should be in a relationship if you think the “feeling of being in love” is a determinant factor of what a relationship is or it’s longevity. Anything that you can fall into, you can fall out of. I married my husband because of his character and his values not because of how he makes me feel. I don’t always feel like loving my husband and my children but I do it anyways, because I’m committed to them. Hope that answer’s your question.

Facts, my friends get so wrapped up in their feelings, and I remind them that to a certain degree your feelings are irrelevant and fleeting. Way too much emphasis is placed on our “feelings” today. Relationships are built on decisions. We make a decision to make things work or we don’t.

For many years I’ve felt like I was wrong or weird because my main goal in life was to be a Housewife and mother, just like my mum. This channel helps me realise that my goals aren’t wrong in the modern world. It’s ok for me to want to be a loving housewife and mother. Personally… I’d rate myself an 8. I had been Single for 4 years.. and recently I’ve met a man who instantly made plans, wanted to meet, has his shit together, we have the same family aspirations AND mutual attraction. I am starting to finally feel settled, and feeling affirmed that those goals of mine aren’t stupid or less than a career driven woman!

Yep, nothing wrong with wanting to be a homemaker & housewife. I have nieces and I broke it down to them like this: path 1(housewife): 90% focus on family 10% focus on odd jobs/part time work path 2 (middle): 50% focus on family 50% focus on a decent job (HR, receptionist, hygienist etc.) path 3 (career woman): 90% focus on ambitious career (doctor/lawyer/etc.) with 10% chance of having children/husband (maybe alternative lifestyle to make this happen) Each path has it's choices & trade offs but is the most practical way to consider your life path.

Anyone else notice that the older women are arguing just to argue and no matter how foolish they sound they think holding their ground or avoiding the questions is somehow winning. The younger women and college educated women end up talking over Kevin when trying to prove they're smart by changing their answers whenever they think Kevin is about to disagree with them. Some women are so self-absorbed they don't even see their competition who's playing the game better than them. This video was insightful.

Women who are later in life and aren’t married are unhappy, harsh, bitter and cold women. Some. I never had anyone teach me how to be a wife either. But I knew what I wanted and I didn’t allow anyone else’s path determine mine. And today at 49 years old I’m successfully married for 25 years and I’m happy! I adore my husband and he adores me. My homegirl keeps talking about this self love and such and such at 47 years old. I'm flabbergasted by it. I'm 43 and single as well as her but I won't be delusional any more. She still thinks she's the prize and that her man is just going to appear. She doesn't think she has to do much to get him as if she's still in her prime years. She also lost a guy about 8 years ago because she just had to communicate with an ex. Lol. I didn't see that coming when she told me that. I block and delete if I have a man. No random ex is gonna make me lose a good man. Now this guy she lost to stupidity is engaged and buying a house with his new lady. That could have been her.

I think you need to get rid of her as a friend she sounds like she won’t be helpful with you finding a man and when you do I don’t think you want her opinion or her ways around you once you find a man. @@tmarcelle4900 Eartha like many BW and BM in Hollywood suffered from the illusion of inclusion. She got invited to the White House back in 1968 for a luncheon. When First Lady Lady Bird Johnson asked her about her views on the Vietnam War, this fool told her how she really felt! Years later in an interview she said she thought the First Lady really wanted to hear an honest answer. 🤣😂 Eartha didn’t realize she was only invited to make the Johnson administration look inclusive. After hearing Kitt’s unfiltered thoughts, the First Lady supposedly broke into tears. By the time she got home, Eartha was effectively blacklisted in America. The CIA put together a deep dive on her personal life and sexual proclivities. After that she basically had to work in Europe and Asia to make a living. That’s where that fake French accent really started to be developed.

RIP UNCLE SAMUELS. I'm a young black man from the UK and before you I had a little measure of my importance to society and to the future generations. Coming from a broken family structure I internalised my mother's pain without regard for my father's plight. I was willing to tolerate less in order to make a woman happy, because I didn't want to be like my late father. While my father was not perfect the key is that my mother was tough to be with and complicit in the damage. You taught men like me to start with why, especially regarding picking a mate. You taught men to stand tall with shoulders broadened and attack the day. You taught men to not settle for less in the name of chivalry. You taught men that women need to earn a man as much as a man needs work tirelessly to be in the position to choose. You taught a young black man to value his image in a world that views us as a joke. This young black man is eternally grateful. Rest in Power. May God forgive you for your sins and reward you for your heart. I haven't processed this loss yet but I promise one day I'll make you proud by becoming a man that's valuable to others and most importantly to myself. & Peace ✌🏿 we are gonnneeeee 😔🥂

Find something you love to do and you won't have to work a day in your life. If you can survive on it and you're happy AND enjoy going to work every day, there is absolutely NOTHING else you should ask for. Take your excess money and invest it for your retirement. That's all there is to it. No excess today, and when you are sharing your wisdom with others in 40 years, you can do so with what will feel like, excess. For the rest of your days.

Yes young blood. I’m 49 now..made over 7 mil in 20 years of hard work. Working 100-150 hours a week 9-11 months each year. But I didn’t have a strong Masculine father in my life. My ex wife is so prototypical of so many of these angry controlling domineering miserable woman that called in to argue and hopefully learn what the f a man is and wants and how absolutely vital we men are to their own lives. My ex set me up and tried to get me thrown in prison for an abuse that never happened and thankfully the cops saw through it immediately. The male cop pulled me aside and told me he deals with this shit all the time. I asked him what he dealt with more often-women attacking men and then calling the cops and lying that the man was the aggressor..or men just beating the shit out of their women? He told me unequivocally that, though he deals with piece of shot men who abuse, 3 quarters of the domestic calls were women being disingenuous and literally trying to ruin a man’s life. The cop told me “son, my advice is get away from that woman as fast and far as possible because she knows the system is rigged against you and she is going to destroy you if you don’t get far away asap”

@Johnny_Nitro
@Johnny_Nitro 2 жыл бұрын
@Shanna Delay So true. I have heard many women complain about men needing to do better. I do agree that women are hurt and used up by Chads and Tyrones, and that attraction isn't a choice. Men and woman both should strive to become the best versions of ourselves. I believe men should be driven, well off financially, in good physical and emotional shape, and ready to be faithful. Woman should be fit, feminine and friendly, to quote the Godfather. I wish men and woman had finishing school so that the people released into the general public have a clear understanding of what the opposite sex wants, needs and expects to receive. Then all the games and exploitation would be socially unacceptable. However the cost would be less accepted promiscuity and likely the need for structured seperation and monitoring of the sexes. Extreme problems need extreme solutions. I guess when 2 or 3 generations die alone ideas like these will seem less radical. Only time will tell.

His compassion and patience was unending. What was shocking to me after hours of listening, is how black women(I honestly don’t know anyone who married for money in my friend group)out such an emphasis on how much a man makes. I dated lots of men with money, but chose a poor man with character. He ended up successful-because of his character. That’s the secret, because even if he hadn’t made lots of money, his character is what made him a good man and worth spending my life with.

women and men need to start being very serious and real with themselves. If you’re selfish, then stay out of relationships. You can still date and do whatever but don’t ask for or expect a commitment if you’re selfish. It will not last. Some women like to have a man just to say they have a man, it’s for show but deep down she really don’t love him like that. I see it too many times and I’m a woman! It’s not about compatibility either, it’s about suitability. Does that person suit who you are at this current time? Another thing a lot of people tolerate each other but there isn’t no real love there. There’s a big difference. Real love is rare these days because a lot of people have other motives that serve only themselves as individuals. It all boils down to selfishness. Stay out of a relationship if you aren’t ready to be ALL IN and make sure the other person is all in too and feels how you feel. Otherwise you’re wasting each other’s time.

**The 4th caller helped me tie something together** For ppl who know the show "Shark Tank" you know how sometimes the sharks tell the guests they have good businesses but it's not "investable for them"? They're saying the business is fine for the owners, but doesn't give enough value to the sharks themselves. I think this is the parable for men / modern women; they are "business owners" of their own lives but they're not presenting / offering enough value for men to INVEST in them (aka marriage/legal attachment). I watch these vids as a 37 yr old, single blk man, in Miami, 6-figure earner, no kids, established in my career path & still sharpening my character, integrity, skillsets to be more valuable to myself & others. How do I spend so much energy improving myself for mutual benefit with a woman knowing her actions (forget her words) say "im looking for someone to share in loving me"? These women want us to love them fully, while they love themselves fully & we get whatever energy they have left over

I think "self-love" is supposed to be about loving yourself the way you love someone close to you/a family member: You take care of yourself (exercise/eat right/etc.), hold yourself accountable, and not abuse yourself when you mess up but accept it/learn from it and keep trying. I don't think self-love is inherently wrong or bad, but I think it has been morphed through social media, like a lot of other things. Another example is how the body positivity movement started with people who had accidents/burns/etc to accept their body and with social media has morphed to obese women being happy to be obese rather than trying to get healthy. Self-love shouldn't get in the way of building a relationship with someone, it's just about having some self-respect for your health and yourself. At least in my mind.

I've heard that from ladies who are always talking about self-love, almost like the mantra by which they live life. Which sounds nice...but I'd be weary of embracing any notion of "self" too much. Love is more about what you can give others, than what others can give you, or what you can give yourself. Taking care of yourself and making sure you're working on yourself are just normal adult things people should be doing. Instead, what I see from the "Self-Love" crowd is the prioritizing of self above all else. And that...I think is deplorable. 2 Timothy 3:2 "But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be *lovers of self*, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,"

1:55:00 He is correct that the young lady should've lived below her means and cleared her debts before moving to "the nice side of town". Too many people graduate w/student loan debt (she has 60k) but want to celebrate their new money from their first job out of college. Within a year they end up with a car note, expensive rent & want to take trips while paying the minimum on their student loans. After I graduated I stayed in my college apt, drove a 12 yr old car & took the first 3 years to pay off my student loans so I could live the rest of my life debt free. The older we get the more expensive we become & the likelihood of clearing that debt be comes minimal once you have kids, mortgage & other lifestyle costs.

The original Self Love concept was meant to be used as a healing tool not this modern day self aggrandizing they've turned it into. Ladies, self love is used for low self esteem or a means to connect, i.e. How can you love someone else if you can't love yourself first. Or as it is stated in scripture, Love thy neighbor as you would love yourself. Self love isn't about detachment, self interest, or vanity but being an living example of how to better love by being the example.
