It began with Prince Phillip, then Queen Elizabeth, the Sarah, Duchess of York ( twice), then King Charles, and immediately Catherine Princess of Wales and now Princess Royal Anne. 🤔😟😢 “Something wicked this way comes. When a senior citizen (like HRH Princess Anne) is injured they often experience a "precipitous decline". Even if the elder person somewhat recovers & is released from hospital they've 'lost ground' so-to-speak. Anne may never be as strong, capable & active as she was prior to the accident. Princess Anne is my favorite member of the Royal Family & I mailed her a get well card today. Sadly, she may be compelled to retire from being a working Royal. I agree. This is not good for the RF because Princess Anne was working a literal full calendar of appearances and events. She was carrying an enormous load and if she has to even semi-retire or retire....that will be catastrophic. She deserves to retire and is such a credit to the Monarchy but who will carry on with all of her appearances? They just don't have enough working Royals even now.

Anne took a few knocks to the head during her riding career. We see what happens in later life to footballers and rugby players who have had concussions. I hope Anne doesn't suffer the same fate.

Not good news but we are forever hopeful things work out. Perhaps Lady Gabriel could fill in for her in the meantime...she even resembles the Princess Royal. This would take off some of the burden....we all know how dedicated Pr.Anne is and it would be a relief for her also. Geeze such bad luck...can't wait for this year to be over and done with.

@@proud_2B_KiwiI was just going say that. My thoughts exactly, I think Princess Beatrice will step up to the plate more to help out, not so sure about Princess Eugenie at this time. If they use Zara, Peter and Princess Beatrice, that gives them an additional 3 to help cover things. It’s the overseas planned visits that could be affected but I guess, they can take over some of the UK events from the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, leaving them free to do some of the overseas events. It wouldn’t be fair for them to do them all though. Perhaps Lady Sarah Chatto, can also do a few UK events. I know it means pulling in more of the non working Royals, in tough times you reach out to members of your family for help, not the Duo across the pond though, that would be disastrous. Time to get the youngest son, off being a Counsellor of State, this just proves adding more names to the list, so he won’t get used, looks too precarious to me, in light of what is currently going on. There cannot be any chance of him having to step up to the plate. I think the King should have taken him off at the time, instead of just adding more people. Just my thoughts. Take Care 🦋🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🦋

I feel that other things will come to light in the aftermath of Anne's accident. "Incidental findings" as they say. This happened to me, and it's something which is signigicant and not tested for in a usual blood screening panel.

I wonder if Anne has a minute brain bleed that caused her to fall and the doctors have missed it. While I think it is highly unlikely given MRIs, it is possible. Or the fall could have caused a brain bleed. My mother died from a brain bleed after a fall. If it is severe enough, it is an easy diagnosis but if they didn’t continue with the tests after initial diagnosis, who knows. I hope I am completely wrong and I believe i probably am. Just food for thought.

The royals will manage. They just need to reduce their appearances whilst other members of the family recuperate. If Zara is agreeable to & can fit it in with her work life, I think she & Mike would make fantastic royal ambassadors & likewise the Edinburgh 's daughter once she has completed university. Lady Gabrielle could be a contender to help but has only recently been tragically berieved. Anything BUT NOT the traitors from Monteceto.

I know this is a far stretch bordering on conspiracy theory, but could you please ask your cards if eugenie's purposeful bump into Princess Catherine at the Christmas Service has anything to do with her current situation? Also, why does the harkle always insist on speaking to King Charles when haz is speaking to him? And finally, why does haz insist on seeing Princess Catherine and the Wales children??? Is black magic afoot in these situations; have spells been cast? It's uncanny how the two Royal Family members who were slammed as being ray cysts both were diagnosed with the same affliction within days of each other. I had a friend who got sort of squished loading a horse into the trailer, between the horse and the trailer resulting in a concussion. She was a very experienced, life long rider and coach and had even been to the olympics. Anyway, she was never the same afterwards.
