We know in advance that having goods and status is not a sin but we need to understand that only in Jesus there is full happiness “Psalm 16 vs 11 in your presence there is abundance of joy” Augustine in his book Confessions speaking of human restlessness, warns that “The heart of man is restless until it finds rest in God. So true joy is in God. may we be careful not to deceive ourselves and try to find happiness outside the ways of God. The beatitudes are: Blessed are those: poor in spirit, those who mourn, the meek, those who hunger and thirst for justice, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, those who suffer persecution for justice's sake, Blessed are it is you when they say all evil against you for my sake. For every such beatitude there is a consequence. Theirs is the kingdom of heaven, they will be comforted, they will inherit the earth, they will be filled, they will obtain mercy, they will see God, they will be called children of God, theirs is the kingdom of heaven, and their reward will be great.
