The Sexual Revolution - framed as an emancipatory, feminist movement - has turned out to be most harmful for women and children, benefiting just a select few people.

I love how even in the 1960s people joked about it. World ends. Women and minorities affected most.

The main reasons behind the feminist movement were to get women into the workplace so the other half of the population could be taxed. Also to get children away from their parents at an earlier age to indoctrinate them into the system more easily.

You are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT about separating the child from parental influence at the earliest possible age. What price Government subsidised childcare?

I often say that if feminism was about equality, women who break age of consent laws would do equal jail times as men who break age of consent laws.

Equality has meant that it now takes BOTH parents/partners working to sustain one household It used to take, by n large, only one wage. Usually the man’s.

SImultaneously, there are not enough workers, one assumes because of the continued decline of birthrates. Interestingly, instead of wages going up, increasingly automation fills the gap.

Is it really that needed for 2 people to pay the bills or as a family we now expect to have everything? New car, best appliances, nicest clothes and furniture etc. Other than housing the necessities are cheaper than ever aren't they?

I state I am not a member of the feminist movement community. My children are grown and gone now but when they were little I wanted to be a stay at home Mom and I was for awhile. I loved it. A number of other women called me lazy because of it. Lots of women don't enjoy their kids. I did and it was the best time of my life.

Jay Dyer recently interviewed some woman who wrote a book on the history of feminism. They've always been radical leftists with occult/satanic undertones. Like really - the first proto-feminists in the 19th century came out of the theosophy movement and favored pagan goddess worship over "patriarchal" Christianity

Yes, feminism is responsible. However, it is extremely important to realize they did it from inside the academies using Marxist ideological precepts and by claiming to share the epistemological strengths of non-feminist disciplines, and by aggressively rewriting history to affirm their ideological beliefs. Unless we reform academia to reject these practices, the problems are only going to worsten. For example, feminist icons Nellie McClung and Emily Murthy wrote the Forced Sterilization Act of 1928, which became law in BC and Alberta until the late 1970s. It was based on Eugenics, which at the time it was written was regarded as scientifically valid (the Nazis used it for the same reason). Both feminists and Nazis adhered to the Marxist model of history and society, which is objectively Gnostic rather than scientific (adherants redefine language to affirm their ideological precepts rather than rejecting flawed axioms when findings from applying the scientific method show they are wrong). Today's woke movement is based on this same model.

sorry girls, you cant put the toothpaste back in the tube. decent good hearted men have been told for 50 years how you don't need them, you don't want them, and you can do anything they can do. now that women have realised they are going to actually have to pony up and do the things they have screamed about for 50 years, now its not that appealing. too late. men are not going back.

A very important discussion, thank you! Women's liberation was an idea and movement initiated by men for economic reasons. Get women out of the home and into the work world. Alas, that goal was realized but the cost has been devastating , especially to women and children, but men too.

This is a lot of absolute nonsense. I took the first version of the birth control pill when I went to university and I can tell you that I have some very happy memories from that period of my life. The reality is that many if not most people still get married, still have kids, and still have lives as families. The idea that second-wave feminism meant women wanted to be like men is a bald-faced lie. We wanted to be able to support ourselves because we knew we needed to. I saw numerous women of my parents' generation have to get jobs in mid-life with negligible work experience because their husbands who were supposed to be managing the finances died or got sick and there was nothing. And what do you think happened when husbands dumped them for younger women or just got tired of being married and the men had earned all the money and therefore owned all the property? Where do you think community property laws came from? Many other women lived in poverty in old age because their husbands predeceased them and had managed the finances so poorly that there was nothing there. My generation said, "No, thank you" and then had to deal with being treated like second-class citizens in the workplace. These women are engaging in outright historical revisionism.
