'The Shadow Over Innsmouth' is one of Lovecraft's most enduring tales - that encompasses much of what draws people to his work and enduring legacy. A tale of how a affliction beyond understanding of everyday folk is part of something larger, more nefarious than any of us could imagine, and what it can do to an entire community. Ultimately showing the effect of how forces outside out of our normal understanding are trying to gain a foothold in the world.

This soundtrack is already epic! Now if you simultaneously listen to cricket and frog noises and imagine you're walking on a grassy field up to the pond while it's raining the epic-ness amplifies!!

A lot of this one reminds me of the music in The Fall of the House of Usher with Vincent Price, really great job here. Love the graphic as well, green means it's good. If you want a bit of inspiration you should check out Devil Doll, the Italian/Slovenian band fronted by Mr. Doctor. I have a feeling it'd be right up your alley.

How do you choose the key and tempo for horror soundtracks? I always find myself just screwing my brain over what to pick. Other than minor keys. It’s hard to know what to go for.

I have the same issue and often I find I'm in danger of repeating chord progressions and melody ideas without wanting to. Look up alternate scales and modes to avoid staying in common minor keys. I change keys to keep things a bit more interesting during a piece.
