She also sang on all of their songs although she didn't tour with them or tour at the time. All of the girls except Mary took a break at one time or another. Free as a bird was an unreleased demo until the 2000s. This is probably a coincidence. in fact the part Paul sings was written for the anthology release and wasn't originally part of the song. Great song though.

But I never knew who sang it or what it was called until years later, and I would always incorrectly call it “Walking in the Rain”.
