From master story teller, Guillermo del Toro, comes THE SHAPE OF WATER - an other-worldly fable, set against the backdrop of Cold War era America circa 1962. Because for some reason this video didn't show the actual scene where Strickland doesn't wash his hands after peeing because a man either washes before or after but never twice as that shows weakness in character.

Guillermo didn't want anyone else to play this character. He had written this part especially for Sally Hawkins from the very beginning. I think that was the right decision. She was amazing in it! :D This movie wouldn't exist, if she had turned down that role. Mr. del Toro said it himself.

I completely agree sir, women’s likelihood to be controlled by their emotions is indeed a great treaty to the human race? But isn’t it also being devoid of it, sometimes men need women to remind them how to be human.
