The fact that you had that huge path carved into your wasteboard and it didn't hit one of those t-nuts is amazing.

I've watched so many builds lately and I liked this one for that real moment of "I fucked up" around 11 min mark. Things like that really help me as a novice to understand I'm an ok builder and as I go along and learn there will be PLENTY of mistakes and "not to get bogged down by them". Great build and motivation!

Great video and a nice build. May I say that you should have built a torsion box for the XXL to sit on, it would stable the center of the machine bed a lot more to help with that problem. All in all that thing came out fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

Great job! One suggestion for improved video...The music is WAY louder than your voice. You should bring down the music or raise the audio level of your voice so they are more even. Again, great job on the build!

Great Vid, great cabinet! If I could get some constructive criticism on the video, your music levels are way too hot, I have to ramp the volume up to hear you speak, then ramp it back down when the music blares.

You should consider of adding dust extraction to your cnc machine it will stop the cnc cutter from jamming up with wood chips

I wouldn't have put another 3/4in piece of MDF under that one since it was so close. Should've did 1/4 so you wouldn't lose some of your z travel

It's not the carrage it's the undersized bits from carbide create there 1.5in not 2in or 3in if you buy aftermarket bits there usually longer.

Just lower your bit. Mine does the same thing if the bit is inserted too deep in the router. Or lower the router itself in the clamp

Why people spend so much on a enclosure to reduce the sound of a small cnc when 80% or of the noise comes from the trim router?? All this noise can be eliminated while at the same time the horse power can be doubled, the torque can be quadrupled, the runout reduced dramatically, the size of the available bits increased from two sizes to more than seven and the service life extended almost indefinitely by adding a water cooled spindle. They cost less than $300 and just the material for a basic enclosure can cost way more not including the $100 for the trim router. Do yourself a favor and ask around the Shapeoko group on Facebook. The testimonials will help you understand why this might be a better solution for your needs. Great Video. Ill send my thoughts on it i have had mine on my channel for 6 months now and with having an enclosure on it limits the machine as I tile jobs with mine I have literally made a 12 foot sign. The other item if u want to make it quieter buy a brushless or water-cooled spindle. the next item is the secondary waste board i had the same issue but they have bits that are longer so you wouldn't need that. also the swearing in the video there is a way to tag that its not recommended for children. I hit the sub button as i to am a smaller KZfaq channel trying to grow hope you come check my channel out
