His role in Shawshank was amazing...small part antagonist but had such an enormous impact on the entire movie. Great actor!

Pain and fear are even MORE deeply ingrained in most animals than the desire to have power over others...It's actually a shame that it took him being maimed and crippled to finally learn that...but he'd have the rest of his life for introspection...

In films that involve Good vs. Evil, the bad guy's gotta be REALLY bad, and his punishment needs to be commensurate. While the Sisters escaped eye-for-an-eye, it was a great punishment choice.

Imagine taking a role where you realize that your character is this despicable person. Furthermore, imagine playing that character with such effort that the audience wants you to be pummeled. You sir, took on a role and absolutely crushed it! Without the Sisters, no one would have felt Andy’s pain nearly as much and the film wouldn’t have been the same!

Mark befriended my homeless brother yrs ago, and worked with him to make movie about the homeless community, but basicly the movie was more focused on the friendship between a homeless man and a rich actor. unfortunately the move didn't get finished , mark had encountered personal set backs, and couldn't finish the movie project. but I got to know him a bit, and he is just a wonderful caring person.

The Mansfield Reformatory is a Shawshank tour museum and site in Mansfield,Ohio and the cell block was built in an old Westinghouse manufacturing warehouse building and there are many shooting sites throughout Mansfield,Ohio and some in Ashland,Ohio and Upper Sandusky,Ohio.

I saw the movie for the first time via VHS. Rented from Blockbuster. I couldn’t believe how good it was. What was great was Red narrating Andy’s escape and Red then following him to Mexico. I was a scared as Red when he was out under the oak tree retrieving the box.

I would say that the whole cast did a wonderful job of their respective characters. What blew me away was Morgan, Reds character was white but Morgan certainly did so well as Red. I love that movie.

He was great in this movie as a antagonist as well as the movie eraser where he works for the late James Caan's character. He also was good in the television miniseries from the earth to the moon as virgil gus Grissom and in the movie midway as admiral ernest king, admiral chester nimitz's immediate superior.

I still see him and the sisters, I can see bits if the character in his facial mannerisms, subtle but still there. The casting directors knew their stuff.
