This is why I refuse to live in a country like South Africa because you get so accustomed to things being affordable you can't leave the country because everywhere else is expensive. The comfort of living in an affordable country has this negative effect and that's why most South Africans don't travel. If you think Zim is expensive try Angola and then Europe. It's tough in Zim but it's also a strange blessing as we find travel out of Zim very affordable if that makes sense. That's why South Africans think Zimbabweans are always loaded. That security guard ulamawala. Our lovely vlog ended. 😭😭. New subbie here.

Not true. These are the lies we don't want. She clearly showed us what the shop has to offer. Is mahewu South African? Are the apples and other fruits we saw South African? We saw meat. Is it South African? All that food in the deli, cakes, confectionery, is that South African? Stop with the lies. While we all know there are goods imported from South Africa on the supermarket shelves it is an utter lie to say "everything" is imported as the imported goods constitute less than 20% of what is on the shelf. .

To explain your good observation. Zim benefited back in the days when Zim (Southern Rhodesia) , Zambia (Northern Rhodesia) and Malawi (Nyasaland) were all in the same Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, all development went to Salisbury (Harare). Then when independence was attained, the Zim government then excelled in corruption and genocide, corruption resulted in no develipment, genocide resulted in tribalism!!

@@shumbahurushumbahuru4894 I think it depends on what it is you're buying. I used to get groceries using omalayitsha who go to Messina and they'd deliver straight to the house. I discovered while Zim prices ate outrageous, malayitsha charges don't make sense when you have groceries below a certain value. You're right though.
