that then isn't like a decade ago but 2019-2022. Rayo isn't top teams either (who finished ahead of Sevilla in 2023 and Getafe this season). Bilbao 2022 are way better teams than 2023 Rayo yet Sevilla can finish way above Bilbao that season

I’ve always said Thiago Silva was the better defender who happened to play for worse teams than Ramos. At 37 Silva won the UCL as one of the best defenders. At 37 Ramos is mediocre. Took long enough for people to see it.
