Saved the day for our hounds we rescued. I still use them when we hunt rabbit simply to stop fighting or running on a country road as they can shift quickly. We never have the shock on more than 3 or 4. They go up to 99. Farmers swear by shock prods what's it his business: correct. Nobody just shocks a dog in the street for goodness sake training a dog. The beep and vibrate are fantastic at warning and stopping a dog when they are off the lead and over stimulated. Particularly when other ppl have failed to train it and your just stood shouting nonsense. Love your comment 🧡

Yeah he was super respectful to her even tho she was looking for trouble. I myself am not sure about shock collars, on the one hand I would love to try one because I have a hound that cannot be trusted off leash, on the other hand it sounds so brutal, to train your dog with electric shocks. But there are many videos out there where people point out that at a low setting they are merely like a tickle or so for the dog. Well, I will never find out because they are forbidden in my country. So I won't judge weather using them is good or bad because I could just guess and not know. Will perhaps try a vibrate collar tho!

@@acejax4808maybe some ancient varieties, but modern shock collars deliver their impulse in a form very similar to static; the worst damage the collar can do is wear down the hair and cause pinprick bald spots where the electrodes make contact. For working dogs and hunting dogs, it gives handlers and extra layer of control and hurts a hell lf a lot less than a coyote attack or a car hit.

@@amarok7229 no they don’t, I have used them on myself before giving them to my dogs, it a little jig, it’s painless and if they do hurt you, never use them on your dogs, I use mine as a way to start teaching a dog verbal ques to break distraction, the collar goes live and a command is given with a lead lift to get the dog to sit and make eye contact and slowly but surely the collar is no longer needed. You shouldn’t ever use a collar on your dog if it hurts you it should at best give the dog a little vibration.

@@amarok7229I have and it doesn’t really hurt. It reminds me of my chiropractor treatments because that’s the mechanism they use for ecollars these days. It’s called stim, not the traditional electric shock they used to use. Although, there might be some old fashioned electrical shock collars still out there.

Told him he could try it on himself and started all the hand movement when she saw all of the attention was on them two. 4. I use a "shock" collar as well, mainly for any just in case situation that pops up where I may need to get my dogs immediate attention and my voice doesn't reach him, aside from this I've trained him off leash just like he has his dog (I've got 2 presa canarios, very stubborn breed of dog, but loyal and protective)

Shock collar works great at this point I only need it for the beeper function , people against it usually have out of control dogs that don’t listen.

As someone that's tried it myself, it's VERY minimal (and that was on my bare, hairless arm). Not for every dog, obviously... But is a great option available if needed.

I’m actually really glad he corrected her with the term “shock” to properly call it tone/vibrate. We use these for our dogs and I haven’t had to use vibrate since the beginning of training and only tone to recall the dogs. It is truly amazing the confidence it has given them and I don’t get tired of people doting on them always being the best behaved no matter where we go:). It’s all in the training!!!! Can’t stress that enough. This man clearly knows what he is doing. Love those teachable moments😉.

He had a woman videoing their conversation, and I'm certain it was uncomfortable. He seems like a really nice guy, and didn't owe her an explanation, but he's seen enough to know, that if a stranger is recording their conversation with you, they're usually looking for trouble. Not everyone wants to be on a stage, and it can be nerve racking.

Beautiful dogs. Always wanted one growing up. Instead have 4 German shepherds. One is 1/2 pitbull/German shepherd. Out of the 4... the 1/2 pit is the fastest and biggest baby. Lol
