He aint wrong! Everything he says is spot on! They are a good shoe but the durability is bad considering the £150+price for boots. Had the same problem sole peeling within 12 months only use them for city walking. My friend bought a pair of gobi 3 by the end of 2 years both his soles had completely come apart,again only city use. In the end he just binned them rather getting them repaired.

Guys, does anyone know what kind of wide shoes, but not on flat soles? I have longitudinal flat feet and barefoot shoes only worsened the situation with my spine, but I wildly liked the large space for toes, in ordinary narrow shoes it is uncomfortable and chafing again. Thank you

Hobibear from Amazon. I didn't like the fabric ones, but I love the faux leather ones. Yes, they are PU, but that does make them very water resistant. Also, the toe box is very wide with lots of forefoot volume. Perhaps not for those with narrower forefeet, but mine are approx 10.3cm and I have room to spare. None of my toes touch the sides of the shoe. The upper and sole are extremely flexible and the insole is super comfy and removable. Even my Podiatrist was impressed by them. I have been wearing them most days since I bought them at the beginning of January. It's now mid April. I am really impressed with their durability. The soles have barely any wear to them and the uppers still look like new. No separation between the upper and soles, not even where your foot bends. The lacing goes up almost up to the start of the ankle and I like that as I have skinny ankles, so I can lock them down. I got them for £36 on a 20% off deal. They are currently about £46, at the mo. I can buy nearly 4 pairs of the Hobibears for the price of one pair of Vivos, so I'll definitely be buying more for use as an every day shoe. I have the all black and they look good with anything. They go up to a UK13. I'm normally UK10 in Vivos but I went with a 10.5 as I wanted to wear thicker socks with them. I could have gotten away with the 10 with no socks and without the insole, but I like a good thumb width between my big toe and the end of the shoe. Much better value for money than Vivos, in my opinion. As a side note, they stank of chemicals when I first opened the box. That dissipated after a while, so don't let that put you off giving them a go. www.amazon.co.uk/HOBIBEAR-Barefoot-Minimalist-Lightweight-Comfortable/dp/B0CKKTWND2/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?crid=3SYGLHQ1NBYF9&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.0sJ5cmOErA-Z26nHWAMFTURCpG2fJREITIdzJ2Z_d_TdPmyVnBKZ9O25wVozs7z5m21tBG_HQ2gsab3sV5A6H_1W3RgmsgRsglFKSh8LAhf7w5ozMYnol68TZAjpC1qv7c36C3QO0cvvxwGK00G44loLca6RXen_qa5QQqVzdUbdqOZaRmECcwI64B5Sm6CbeAj5_XDvK_7X7K4EKP_DFRNMEZJHu8Q1SxobmhhpNOfs36yOn1gdKljJZpVqdubcWeiCiFjaf26-t-z_viSMFg2VTCqrmLgklAR10KN5_oc.IvK30m96-mQcTyWH6m8aylk_hbbCoN6lXBO_NgXcJx0&dib_tag=se&keywords=hobibear%2Bbarefoot&qid=1713136869&sprefix=hobi%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-3-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1&psc=1

I bought some Vivobarefoot Gobi boots today in black and the leather looks like it’s durable and of high quality. They are pricey but I got a 10% discount when I purchased them from VIVO. Currently, I’m using Altra Escalante 3 running shoes which have a wide toe box with zero drop but have some cushioning, so these shoes are ideal for running but it is annoying when they sup up water easily when you are walking in the rain or jogging. I bought the Gobi boots for winter and will use the thermal insole for extra warm when needed. And unlike my Altras, they are water resistant and ideal for outside. I was thinking about getting a pair of Primus lites as well but they aren’t waterproof so I’m still unsure, whether to get those or Primus lite all weather which are waterproof… Perhaps you was just unlucky with your shoes, but I must admit they don’t look durable but they are comfortable.

I wore my old primus till they literally wore through but still didn't fall apart. many years. the sole coming off a bit at the bend doesn't mean the shoe will fail on you. It'll last years I expect. But agreed that I wish there was zero separation. Thing is if they sew, it impacts waterproofness I imagine. I've had my vivo hikers for at least 10 years. Put them thu hell. Not sure about the new models but the on I've owned were very durable.

@tonys6237 7 ай бұрын
@@daniellowephysio I didn't really need to transition perhaps because I have always landed on my forefoot. Interestingly, my legs get more fatigued when I wear more cushioned trainers on my runs. I think running with less cushioning feels more honest in the sense that I know when I am running too fast. The sensory feedback that I get means that I'm able to gauge my pace much more effectively than when I'm wearing the carbon plated racers. I guess the thing to remember is that we are all different, so I understand why Vivos may not be fully embraced by everyone.

Your shoes are too big for your feet. The end of your toe/toenail shouldn't be under mesh. There's a reason the toe box is reinforced. Your toes should be IN it. I'm no Vivo shill but I've had their shoes for over 4 years and sent back lots of pairs for poor fit but never material breakdown. Especially at the crease. 3 months is ridiculous. That's a product failure or you're performing movements the shoe isn't designed for or you are using caustic cleaning products, or your shoe is too big for you. Just my 2 cents.

Why don't you mention how they can be sent back in for repairs? If you're in Europe they offer different packages to fully restore your shoes back to brand new quality without the full price tag. I don't know any other company that offers full restorations on their shoes. Then you're only negative is obsolete. Maybe just don't be so rough on your shoes. My barefoots are 7 months old and have zero damage at all to them, jus abit dirty since I opted for all white. I wear them everyday as my only shoes outside also.

I originally got the Primus Trail for the gym and honestly, it was painful to wear. More to do with the hard materials on the side of the shoe which was just digging into my feet. I thought I try to spend more time with it to ‘break’ into it and I spent a month before deciding to return it. The other day I went into the Vivo store in London and tried out their casual walking shoes and they feel a lot better! The Magna FG. Was such a different experience. It seems like different materials can make or break a shoe. I can foresee the bending of the shoe to eventually cause that wear and tear. Just watching other KZfaqrs scrunch up the shoe makes me wonder how long the stitching will last. Surely this will tear the stitching apart given how thin the area is. I like to think the Magna FG’s material will hold up strong as I’m simply doing casual walking and nothing too strenuous. I do want to try out another pair specifically for the gym but after that Primus experience, I’m not sure if there will be one that is comfortable to wear. Maybe there newer iteration will address this.

I've also been rocking Primus Lite 3's like mentioned in the video and mainly had the same issues. Materials just don't feel that premium and comfortable.
