Yeah it looks good and definitely one to keep an eye out for if it crashes in price as most of Mizuno's shoes do here in the UK. The Wave Rebellion Pro has been a great long run shoe that works and protects the legs.

great list. i didn't include any trail shoes in this video but those you mentioned are two interesting ones. the new brooks trail racer and the adidas agravic also look awesome. hopefully i can hit some more of the trails out in the blue ridge mountains this summer

i much prefer the 1080 to the more. i tried the more v4 and found it to be too much foam - 1080 is just the right balance. hoping 880 can be the same but just a touch faster from the lower stack

@@supwell I've only used the More v2 and More v3 and I do prefer the 1080v12 and v13 to the More v3. I read that the More v4 is more True To Size and I prefer shoes that are longer and wider than TTS. I will use up the More v3 (have one in use and 1 in the basement shelves) unless our son needs another pair. He's currently running in the More v3 and loves it and I think that I'll give him the new More v3 when his current shoes are used up.

The SC Elite v4 and the SC Pacer v2 both look great. The Endorphin Elite is my current race shoe. Currently wondering whether to get a 2nd pair in the white colourway for £195 or whether to wait for the New Balance releases and deals on them later in the year. The 361 Furious Future is a shoe that I am hoping to see some reviews on.

@@MarkSmith_Best-Athletics Were you able to take the Endorphin elite to the marathon or is it more a half and under racer due to the firmness? How does the weird heel cup hold up?

@@MrJesseeckerlin Definitely a Marathon shoe for me (lower 3+ hour target times). I ran a PB at both Copenhagen and Amsterdam in the Elites last year. The best Marathon shoe that I have ever ran in and I think would be a good shoe across all the distances too. The heel cup is actually great for me although I did have major concerns about that area of the shoe prior to my first couple of runs in it. I don't find it a firm shoe, I just find it extremely responsive and it just keeps giving back in those later miles when you need a bit of help. It's such a smooth ride (for me anyway). I currently have 110 miles on mine and will be wearing them for my 3rd Marathon in Paris this April.

i was deciding between that and the vomero a few months ago and ended up going vomero - still want to check that shoe out at some point. where did you find the discount?

I'm in Europe and was able to find a deal in the neighboring country (Spain). The deal was so sweet (-40%) Mignify nitro 2 in my opinion is a fantastic option if you like me are living in a "wet" winter country! Definitely, the Puma grip was as nice to have.@@supwell

Yeah. Puma is a ghost in Romania in terms of running shoes. I can only find the last years' crap.

interesting to hear about your varied quality issues. in the press release for the velocity nitro 3 that came out yesterday, puma is saying they've designed the shoe to last 500 miles, so it seems they're putting a focus on quality and durability for this generation. we shall see how they hold up against my heel mashing 😅

asics was pretty cagey at the running event but i managed to get a soft confirmation that the magic speed 4 is coming this year. i've seen a few pics leak on instagram of a new asics fast shoe and ppl are speculating it's the magic speed 4. it looks pretty sweet

yeah my motto is quantity > quality! i run most of my miles at an aerobic pace and go hard only once or twice a week. good for building endurance and for staying healthy

that's a good point - i should add one or two more mild stablity shoes to my list. saucony hurricane is on there already and i'm planning to get that one. i have a ton of new balance on my list already lol so prob not the 860. let me know if there's another one you're interested - maybe saucony tempus 2?

My only thought is the Saucony Omni, a Saucony mainstay for "plus stability" for more than 20 years. It has a loyal following and it went through a major upgrade for 2024. I would say this is more stable than the 860 and likely a higher stack It does have a rocker which might make it a little easier for you to run in vs. a mild stability shoe.@@supwell

Yeah I've used it for 3+ years now and it's been a great watch. The only downside with mine now is the battery life since it's an older model now. I'll have to get a different watch before my next marathon because the battery probably won't last for the full thing (it died during my 2022 marathon at mile 23 😩). But for everyday runs it works great for tracking pace, distance, heart rate etc - has everything I need. So if you already have an Apple Watch you can def rock with it until the battery life starts to go before getting a Garmin or something else

yeah $200 for a non-plated daily trainer is steep, especially since it doesn't have a lot of outsole rubber. i think they're justifying it because the superblast is priced the same. superblast is pretty durable from everything i've heard, so i'm curious to see how the balos will hold up over the long-term
