We’re back down with Geoff, who says that - after months when all’s been quiet - he’s now got a bumper crop of pigeons descending on his estate. Needing to keep the crops safe, he heads out with his Marocchi semi-auto and Eley cartridges - but with the most suitable spot being right next to a motorway, he’ll need all his wits about him too.
And stay tuned for the Shooting Show news, where we drop in on a clay shooting competition that’s renowned as a proving ground for future shooting greats.

Great shooting we in the states don’t get as large a limit in my area it is 15 per day only noon till dark shooting time and September mid October open season

Great video. I hear that he is disappointed that there are not that many pigeons in comparison to previous years, but isn’t that the point if what he does? Less birds = more crops.

Nice shooting Geof. I'm thinking of buying a shotkam but being a bit of a technophobe, I'm wondering how easy or hard are they are to set up, record, and download. Any advice would be very welcome. Keep the vids coming.

I am in NZ,so could you explain what a general license means to a shooter

Nigel Clats A General license allows us to shoot animals classed as vermin I,e pigeons, corvids, rabbits etc. As I understand we do not have apply one we just need to abide by the general license rules. I hope this has helped. All the best from London.

correct me if im wrong but I thought it was illegal to shoot that close to the highway!!! I mean you have to be 50m away from any highway with an air rifle, so a shotgun!!!

Great video as usual. I'm thinking to buy a semi auto shotgun, to shoot pigeons and ducks. What do think, should I buy a 71cm barrel or a 50cm barrel shotgun? What would you suggest? Regards from Switzerland

Franz Schmid Beretta A400 Extrema. With a Kicks High Flyer Improved Modified choke. Kicks Smoke choke is really good too. If you don’t want the 3.5 in and the pricetag that comes with it, the Beretta A300 is good to. Both can be had in 28 inch barrels..
