First, Geoff's back - and the gamekeeper extraordinaire has drafted son Justin in to help him kick off another year of pigeon control. But there's an unwelcome guest: a thick fog that's descended and made visibility nearly zero. Can the father-and-son team make the best of the bad weather and bag a bumper crop of pigeons - or will they give up and go home?
And on the testing bench, we've got another straight-pull rifle. This week, it's Tim Pilbeam testing the Blaser R8 professional success.

Geoff is a walking advertisement and that's fine, but he should wear his ear defenders like a good role model for the sport ! Love the show !!

Thank you for mentioning the trigger Phil. It would be nice if you did the same in future even if it was a shit trigger. Liked the bi pod too- very useful Very interesting magazine superbly demonstrated good review even the overall weight of the rifle was mentioned!...keep it up mate

I've used Eley pigeon shells myself and they knock down anything you get in the pattern.I took out 8 crows for 10 shots at well over 35 yards using a Perazzi 32'' sporter with 1/4 and 1/2 choke, finished the day with 96 pigeons and 31 corvids for 150 odd shots not bad for a partial sighted one armed monoped.

Just bought a 28 " maxus thinking its shorter, but keep snagging the hide net when going for a shot. Longer than i thought, glad i didn't go for the 30" !!!

The cost of a Blaser rifle compared to a Remington, Browning or most rifles on the market is drastic... most people are not going to be able to afford a plastic Blaser rifle.

can anyone help me with the "Deerhunter" coat that Tim Pilbeam is wearing in the review of the Blaser. Ive looked everywhere but am unable to find it.

Yeah and the range is apparently only 50 yards or so. I took out a fox 2 weeks ago at 109 meters With aimpoint h1 2moa. :)

Which caliber is that browning maxus? Not sure if it is a 12 or a 20 gauge, but seems very handy and effective!
