I never bought maternity clothes. I just bought bigger cloths😂 only at 7 months, is when I needed some items… tbh I think unless you have a big bump, there’s not really any need for them. It’s a blessing and a huge money saver. Congratulations and all the best on your pregnancy 🤰

There is a pregnancy seatbelt clasp on a lot of websites that you strap over the seat, then you place the seatbelt through the holder so it goes over your legs rather than your bump. It’s very comfortable!

I’m pregnant right now and as I have done with my last two pregnancies, I’m living in leggings and floaty dresses. I find maternity jeans so restrictive. Lycra is definitely your friend during pregnancy 😂 and your comfort is what’s important ❤️

I just did training for this at work!! I learned that the jeans with the band are to support your back and your bump (if thats what you want) and jeans with the side panels are for under the bump and are meant to kind of grow with you, there's also belly bands you can get that are supposed to be support and can also hold up loose jeans I hope this helps a little lol

I went my pregnancy mostly wearing leggings, flowy dresses/skirts, and things like that. Because, as you pointed out, you aren't going to wear them that long. Plus, I was pregnant through the summer too and the skirts and dresses were way more comfy than shorts or pants. But at the end of the day, you do what makes you feel the best.

I'm really glad you don't just buy everything off of Amazon and actually make the time to see and feel the things in real life.

Once your bump gets really big, it can be very uncomfortable to have jeans up over the bump. That's what the ultra low rise is for, to sit under the bump. It might look silly now, but is convenient when you're further along. 👍

Just wanted to comment, basically I was heavily pregnant in summer, during a heat wave and if you buy dresses and stuff in the next size up they will fit over the bump. I was also in maternity dungarees and t-shirts a lot of the time too which helped. But for dresses they seem to fit as long as they are stretchy and bigger than the size you would normally buy

A great thing for new babies and dogs is to have your pups smell your new babies blankets and clothes from the hospital so they are more prepared for a new lil babe in the house. And slow introductions of baby, my dog personally hated sleeping in our room because of being woken up all night with baby 😂

My sister had a baby in November and when she would bring him over my 12 year old chihuahua would run to his toy basket. He never did that until he wasn’t the center of attention anymore! He’s now learned that the baby can play with him no still runs for his toys!

I lived in dresses or flowy shirts and leggings for both pregnancies. I personally wasn’t a fan of maternity jeans. If I wanted to wear jeans I wore a long shirt and do the hair tie trick with my jeans 🤷🏼‍♀️ so excited to see you become a mom! You’re both going to make such amazing parents!❤️

I didn't wear a single pair of maternity jeans my whole pregnancy. Jeans just do not translate well to maternity style. I just did leggings or dresses the whole time. Waaaaay more comfortable than trying to make jeans work.

For the sealtbelt once your bump is bigger you are supposed to put the bottom part of the seat belt under the bump, so it's more over your legs than stomach. It's safer that way so that if you do stop suddenly,the seat belt doesn't go too tight over the bump xx

You can buy a belly band to temporarily go over your current jeans until you get bigger

Honestly, don’t know if you’ll see this but I had my baby boy back in 2018, maternity jeans were a no go from the start when my bump came into fruition, it was leggings, shorts and the flowiest dresses and skirts you ever did see (it was over the summer and when it gets hot get prepared for the heat haha) oh; figure hugging maternity dresses are also fabulous, I got most of mine from mothercare back then though, but there are plenty of shops that do them, hope this helps or someone in else in the comments 🤞🏻✨ x

You should check out the Catwalk Junkie flared leggings! Apart from being extremely cute and nice quality, they are suitable and stretchy enough for maternaty and no maternity. You can pull them over the bumb or under too, whatever you prefer!

I never wore jeans with my two pregnancies - I just did leggings and dresses. If I wore jeans I wore mine undone with a belly band over it :)

Leggings and dresses were basically what I wore through my whole pregnancy because I hated the jeans the have the big belly cover, just itchy and too tight for me. I wore the elastic on the side jeans my last month and my first month postpartum.

I wore leggings throughout my pregnancy 😂. That was 28 years ago though 🤨. Leggings were just more comfortable! I styled them with everything!!!!

Wrap carriers or sling carriers are also really nice especially the first couple of months when you are wanting that skin to skin with baby, getting your milk supply going, and your baby will just want to be on you touch you at all times and they aren’t as bulky as an ergo carrier 😄

When I was pregnant 13 years ago I loved the skinny jeans from Mothercare. The over the bump part was much smaller than yours, like a small band and they were comfy.

My son was born last September and I had bought maternity jeans but I never wore them because it was so hot during the summer, just wore cycle shorts and dresses, and obviously the comfortable maternity leggings 👌🏻

Something to mention about the itching, just watch it as you get further along, if it stays on your belly that's usually like you said as your skin is growing. Watch out for it affecting legs/hands feet as it can mean cholestasis. I had never heard about it but had it in my 2nd pregnancy and needs to be monitored. (Definitely not trying to scare monger, just spreading awareness as I had never heard of it and wouldn't have gone to the doctors about it if it wasnt for a friend of a friend having the same condition!)
