Yup, it makes the gun more valuable ! I bought a P-38 built in February of 45, all matching, for around $200. It must have sat in a wet holster for years because the one side was really corroded . I still basically stole it, but it was the second one that I bought at Gander for $200. I miss Gander Mountain.

Always. I just chuckle every time someone sez that more like it sat neglected in a closet drawer for 40yrs. But ya its blood from a suicide lol.

I was there from Wednesday to Friday and came home with some great additions to my collection. I seen so many rare and awesome pieces I wish I could have brought it all home with me. Damn lottery needs to pick me already so I can spend like a drunken sailor next year! 😂😂😂

In the last few years WW2 items ( guns and rifles and everything else) it has gone up Big time and do have the fakes so it very very important to buy from a reputable store and legacy collectibles is the number one to trust, it's a family store and Tom and his team are the best iv been with them for years and always it's a very pleasant experience.god bless legacy collectibles.

Don’t trust them with rifles, they are known for selling multiple humpers.

The amount of stuff at the SOS is overwhelming, I went a few years ago and had a hard time trying to organize what to see and take it all in. Wild place and I encourage everyone to go at least once. Be careful there’s a lot of fake items for sale and the show including dealers don’t police it.

Yes it will clean up, but to keep it in the same condition as the vet sent it home, I will never put it together. There is a lot of grease on it. Stop and think about this; out of over 14 million 98ks produced, this one may be the only one never completed and shot.

Thanks for documenting all of this Tom! Great video. Question. On the factory capture Walther PP with Mags and holster, was it normal for 1 matching magazine to have a pinky rest and the other magazine to have a standard metal floor plate?

yes, for commercial guns, but Police and military did not care about your pinky finger so most of them had both flat bottom magazines. Thanks for watching

2800 is a bargain? Seems likes retail lol. That PP story is amazing. I love the history like that. I often look at my various guns and wonder what story they could have how they were acquired etc.
