Just picture a Jamaican accent with creole words spoken. That’s what Haitian Creole sounds like imho. Also the road through Labadee reminds me so very much of rural Jamaica; especially the road from Kingston through rural St. Andrews! So much in common! I call Haiti the forgotten country in the West Indies! Yes; brethren keep on keeping on! One love!

While I looked at beautiful Haiti, typical of most tropical paradise in the Caribbean, what interest me most too despite the beauties of the beaches and all, are the various plant life and birds similar but unique to each islands. For instance, I'm aware of the crows we called "John Crow" in Jamaica a vulture that ply the mountains and most landscapes, including humming birds, reptiles and other things of nature. There are so many similarities yet I'm finding it unusual that I haven't seen much in terms of the ackee trees like in Jamaica, whereas other tropical plants, flowers, roots etc. turned up on the road views while you travel along, amazingly similar though from island to island there, are unusual cases quite identifiable. I'm loving the videos as the highlights are showing up a whole difference from what mainstream media reported about Haiti. The concept of private beaches have ruined many in Jamaica as the buildings close to the beaches can be a future disaster causing eroding effect to your beautiful beaches there in Haiti too. Love you all my Haitian brothers and sisters, from your Jamaican neighbour, now in NJ. Bless Up!

Beautiful beach, although I really hate the concept of private beach. In my country there is not ownership of property within 200 meters from the beach at the high tide. From those 200 meters, 50 meters are completely public and it can't be owned by anyone, so anyone is free to enjoy the beach and no one can demand a payment or kick you out of there. The other 150 meters belongs to the government, and it's rented to people by periods of time which goes from 5 years to 20 years. They can build there, but the buildings are returned to the government once the contract is finished unless the lessee renew the contract again. That's why I really find it awful to see a beach with walls and the concept of private beach.

Great video showing the other side of Haiti. Remember that western countries want to make Haiti look as bad as possible because Haiti defeated the mightiest imperialist army at that time to become First Black Republic in the world in 1804. They don't want other black countries to follow Haiti. Philly, it would be better to let us hear the music playing in the club. Haiti has a variety genre of music: Compas, zouk; rara, chansonette francais; rap kreyol, big band; jazz and reggae. Don't know if I missed any. Your audience would be familiar with those genres.

Someone must be farming in haiti, I know dr has a slightly better climate, but someone has to be taking advantage of the cheap land prices. You might find the land is expensive, normally that has to do with bureaucracy.

The USA is more dangerous! Police can come into your home & shoot you, & get away with it. Don’t get me started on in your own car.

@@polyniceauxerre2675 USA is not as bad as media makes it. Remember 336 million people.More police in USA than people in Haiti. The crime is what pays the reporters salary. Remember Brutality is corrected in court. George Floyd family got 24 million dollars. Haiti is much scarier.
