Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, introduces RAIDER X®, its concept for a fast, agile, survivable compound coaxial helicopter that will equip future aviators to address evolving peer and near-peer threats in the most difficult environments.
RAIDER X is specifically designed as a prototype for the U.S. Army’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) prototype competition, part of the service’s effort to revolutionize its enduring aircraft fleet as part of what is known as Future Vertical Lift.

Bell won the last competition because they could complete all of the task. Sikorsky you need to get the aircraft in the sky more than in the hanger to win.

Would be cool to see one of your aircraft where the engine exhaust works as a NOTAR system, mixing with fresh air to hide the heat signature. I know NOTAR systems can be heavy but so push prop tail rotors.

I am excited to see this baby fly! if i am correct we are just waiting for the engines to be done, correct? I hope the Army will make the right choice and chose this for the FARA Program, the X2 technology is the way of the future, especially for this role anyway!

I think You need to redesign and raise the tail of the helicopter and the rear foward trust propeller as its too low to the ground and can easily be damage when landing on rough terrain!! A quarter guard below the propellor would help but it is best to raise the rear helicopter tail also!!

This is the fabled black helicopter that has been in covert production for years. They were primarily used for the collection of non-US crashed craft. It’s sad to see that we only get to see them now

- Hanging weapons on the door is the wrong choice. There will be a lot of weight restrictions and drag resistance will be severe. - Sliding method is recommended

Too bad the mission of Vtol is now all about speed to target. I only see multi rotar fixed wing units fulfilling this mission. As MPADS are becoming more popular....time to and off target will increase survival rate.

Would have loved it more if you would have added wings to it, with the missile bay opening downward instead of upward, it would have made it look way more better, and that's more firepower Please consider it

It's modular so the area that the missiles are can also hold 6 troops.

Lockheed Inferior Design. Has anyone been watching the Russian Alligator helicopters getting blown out of the sky in Ukraine? The problem is the Sikorsky Raider has a very slow "Time to Altitude" which means their easy to shoot down by every MANPAD out there.
