⭐THE SILENT CURSE - (A Zelda Tears of the Kingdom X Princess Mononoke Animation)

Considering the current state of the world these animations are my way to bring you a little bit of sunshine in your day.
As a child I always wanted to see Ghibli X Zelda especially Princess Mononoke. And while I was playing Botw I saw similarities between these two worlds. But what really pushed me to do this project is the trailer for Botw 2.
I started this video in July 2019! I worked every single day until today between 7 to 13 hours a day. No rest day, no weekend. It took me one year to make it because I had many technical problems while working on it. With my outdated hardware it was really complicated to finish it I had many bugs and crashes...But here it is and I hope you'll enjoy it 😉
Oh and did I mentioned that this video celebrate the 10th anniversary of my first Zelda animation on this KZfaq channel ?😉

This is amazing, but the voice actors need to improve a bit, especially Link, but everything else, its perfect, both, music and the animation. ITS SO GOOD. Happy 10th anniversary ;)

There's potential, although a project like this is wayyy too much for on person. From what i see you'd need someone to manage lighting, someone to rig the models better and thus produce more fluid animations, and also better voice actors. There's plenty of skilled people on youtube you may ask to collab with in order to bring an excellent product, namely people like blender guru and various creators passionate about dubbing. For rendering you could benefit from better hardware (i'd suggest you'd add a motherboard to your hardware list as there's no way you'd be able to socket a more recent cpu with a higher core count and clock on the same board) but what would be really good is to relay on rendering services, they have the hardware and you provide the work to render at a fee, and this could be done just for the final release to save money. With some tweaks this could go from good to amazing, even close to the actual game

Yeah, and since in Zelda’ journal it says Link has opened up and begun talking, we just might get a voice for Link too! I’d make the guy who voiced Link in this video his VA for BotW2.

@@ThornHailsnap I'd go with Koki Uchiyama an' Josh Grelle as BotW Link. I'd go with Koki as his seiyuu, talkin' like Soul Evans when he talks like a casual punk. AND Josh as his English voice. With the 'Merican accent, talkin' like a punk, like, "Farmin' up!", "Gimme the buffs!", "Whatcha doin'?", "Need somethin'?", "Bye, kid.", "Bro, I'm KILLIN' it!", "Them's the breaks.", "Just keepin' it real!", "Totes.", "I'mma drop levels!", "We's movin' on.", "I ain't cheap, though.", "Solid beats, yo!", "I'm bein' real careful.", AND "Them's fightin' words." The 'Merican accent fer Link's just purrfect. Not just fer diversity, but fer separatin' him from BotW Zelda, one o' them royals he knew. BotW Zelda could have the British accent 'cuz it just fits her royalty, like in the game. I'd go with Mamiko Noto AND Caitlin Glass as her voices. I'd go with the 'Merican accent fer Ganondorf AND Ganon.

I was SO disappointed. But after I first heard the King's and Zelda's British accent, I thought that for consistency all Hylians should have a British accent. But apparently Zoras do too, so who really knows at this point??

"You will suffer as I have suffered" Its the most powerful line that Ganondorf could came up with in BoTW sequel refering to Link and Zelda (Or maybe directly to Hylia) considering that the three of them are part of that endless cycle curse. Because between the three of them the only one who always loses everything is Ganondorf, Link and Zelda always wins and survives. I´m anxious about BoTW2 sequel story en devolpment of the three.

It's destiny fer all Links AND Zeldas after Skyward Sword ta really survive the final fights with the Links as the winners. Even when some Zeldas don't help their Links 'cuz they's prisoners or sleepin', they's always bound by fate ta be survivors o' the last battles. ALL Zeldas an' the Links. Long as the Links AND Zeldas always survive the final battles against Demise's curse AND its vessels, there's hope fer the planet ta be saved from Demise's hate. With the Links AND Zeldas as winners against Demise's curse, the heroes, AND the victorious survivors in the final fights, there's still hope fer things ta be made right again. With love, compassion, AND kindness. Like Ocarina of Time Link, Ocarina of Time Zelda, AND Navi as the winners AND survivors in the final boss battle against Ganon. Canonically, they win AND survive, but Link AND Navi get back to the past after they win. In French, Kass flat-out said Link's gonna rule over a freed Hyrule with Zelda in peace. With the two lovebirds as rulers together. Link's the commoner, the Royal Guard's son with a humble birth as the commoner, AND an Average Joe with extraordinary worth from Hateno Village who wasn't nobility or royalty.

7-13 hours per day every day for a year? I'd lose my freaking mind. Your dedication is inspiring. I'm a full time artist but I can't work on the same project more than 2-4 hours a day if I'm lucky o_O Also the sound design in this is an underrated gem. A lot of attention to detail was put into blending the music and sound effects from the two sources!

7:30 When you think about it Ganon has suffered more than any other character in the series. I mean, the original was king, with that having a lot of problems of its own, of a barren wasteland, then he was killed and stripped of everything he ever wanted, in the downfall timeline he lost his humanity and was constantly resurrected as a demonic beast, in the adult timeline he had any chance of seeing his old world restored stolen from him, and in the child timeline he was executed for crimes he hadn't even committed yet. So I say that Ganon is one of, if not THE most tragic character in Nintendo, period.

As I posted already on the preview for this gem--at first, my heart plummeted to see another talented creator blending the worlds of Mononoke and BoTW together, when I've so deeply wanted to make a BoTW Mononoke themed mod for years. I'm a complete novice to 3D modeling and animation, and it was difficult to begin making traction. Life and other projects have impeded me, and for every day that passes, it's loomed larger as an intimidating and insurmountably difficult challenge. It's hard watching that achievement originate from hands that are not mine. But now, I'm just so proud to see someone else yearn for (and achieve!) that very same vision I have. There are more similarities to Breath of the Wild and Mononoke than I can count. I am beyond happy to see Rwan do what I could not. This video was an absolute thrill to watch--the passion and love for both series is apparent, and neither is too overstated in this artistic blend. I would watch an entire film recreation were it made by you! Thank you Rwan, and happy 10 year anniversary!! 💗 You've inspired me to at least start again--even if I never get anywhere 🙂 The passion behind it is all that matters.

The fact that Link actually SOUNDS like Ashitaka is only outdone by the fact that the same voice actor also did everyone else except Paya. WHAT TALENT! Also, so admire the dedication it took to animate this! Princess Mononoke is my favorite Ghibli movie, and I love the inspirations BOTW took from it, so to see them combined so flawlessly is a delight.

This is fantastic!! The fact that Link rides a deer is so cool and shows his caring side for other animals! The fact that he talks like- Ö I used to think that it was good Link couldn't talk because any voice they gave him would ruin his character but you've done it!! The fact that you worked 7-13 hours A DAY FOR A WHOLE YEAR to make this!? Dedication and amazing work!! Impa getting a piggy back ride, Link shooting Calamity in the eyes and the animation showing Link's precision shooting skills, Link riding on the side of that hill and over that plain and in front of those mountains? i don't really know what to think of this, on one side it is pretty impressive but it's also full of small issues that add up =/ you clearly spent a lot of time & effort into this, and while it's neat there are a lot of things that could be improved. GG anyway, keep doing this kind of stuff ^^

Okay, so I know you probably won't see this (also this is like, a year old), but since I saw the _Memories_ animation about a month ago- drawn in by the models at first, which looked exactly like the game- you've become one of my biggest inspirations. And this... oh man, this is one of the best animations I've seen in a long time. Everything from the models, the shading, the music and sound- _the voice acting_ , this is how Link sounds canonically, to me- to the small details, like how Link's ears droop at 9:17... it's all just wonderful. You're making even more amazing animations now, I know (Hyrule's Downfall, for example- which I _love_ ), but this really touched me. I hope I can do this, too, someday. Incredible.

Wow! Links voice sounds nice! I know everybody’s nervous about the possibility of Link speaking in BOTW 2, but this proves to me that he could sound good, given the right voice actor 😁

C'était tout simplement fantastique ! Étant une immense fan de la Princesse Mononoké et pour l'avoir vu des centaines de fois, je me rends compte à quel point tout, dans cette animation, reste fidèle au film : les plans, les actions... Et la manière dont tu as saupoudré l'univers de BOTW, c'était magnifique ! Les musiques, les animations, les expressions de Link... C'est incroyable, je te félicite pour un tel travail ! :D

Wow! Prince Mononoke is my favorite movie and you did a really good job of remaking it scene by scene. The camera angles and land formation are dead on. It literally was like watching Princess Mononoke but in Link's universe. I really enjoyed it. Way to go!

The dedication and perseverance put into this project shows by the sheer size of the project. Referencing the iconic opening of Princess Mononoke while drawing upon parallels within the BOTW universe to reimagine it within that realm all within a year's time is incredible. More so than anything, having the heart and will power to decide when to finish a project like this and not become perfectionist is something that blows me away, as I could easily see a project like this always getting fixed and cleaned up perpetually. You have created something amazing, heartwarming and inspiring during this time, and allowed yourself the chance to present it to us in what could be the lowest parts of some of our lives. This was astounding! The amount of work needed to accomplish this is huge, so the fact it was accomplished in only a year is insane! Seriously, this was amazing! And I totally support this crossover. Princess Mononoke is my favorite, and this blended seamlessly!!! Amazing! Jaw-drop amazing!!
