So I built this for a sun house I built IN THE SKY (I'm 37 blocks up in the air) and let me tell you this elevator WORKS WONDERS instead of having to do the bubble elevator. I was having issues falling through the floor going UP but I learnt that the top 2 iron blocks push you through the bottom blocks (which obviously keeps you from going up. I should've realized sooner xD) BUT without the 2 top blocks you go up and down perfectly. No glitching/fazing through the bottom iron blocks. :) Hope this helps other's struggling with falling through! I also recommend fully enclosing it with terracotta as it doesn't stick to the slime like he stated in the vid c: Just be careful enclosing it around the buttons with the redstone as it'll trigger the piston to go either up or down! If your playing on switch you glitch through the floor, but you can fix that by easily removing the top iron blocks on the elevator it self( I don't know how it is on other consoles, but that fixed it) For all the ones saying it doesn't work, rebuild the thing, it worked for me to

Edit: Idk why but it got stuck again like half an hour later., exact same problem where the piston that pushes up the chamber dosent stick to the honey block seemingly randomly. Nothing is blocking it and nothing is touching it nor the honey block. Edit 2: It was the wall I had around it I decided to build this for my realm (Switch Bedrock) and it only took me about 20 minutes. I used honey instead of slime though, and I made the button call it back as well. My first issue was that I kept falling through the floor. Someone in the comments mentioned that you can fix this easily by taking out the ceiling blocks from the chamber and I don't mind the look personally. Honey looks better with more blocks than slime so it isnt a huge deal to me. Afterwards I thought it would be cool if I could call the elevator down to make it more practical. I played around with some vertical redstone ideas but decided that a redstone torch tower works the best. I built a normal torch tower and a decending tower off to the side of the flying machine, but the starting mechanism was causing a new problem. For whatever reason the mechanism can cause one of the pistons to detatch from the honey block, specifically the one that pushes up the chamber. I had to observe it for 2 hours on the realm because up to this point I had been doing test builds in copies of the realm. I looked back at the comments reading how someone changed the mechanism to start the elevator from the observer to a block of redstone. I didnt understand at first but I found out the observer in the back corner should be activated instead of the one next to it, so I put a stick piston w/ stone to trigger it from underneath and it worked for a while.

we need another update video on this please bc i built two of these and yes the elevator works but the problem is when you add the button for it to go up. it gets stuck once you make it go up.

I think I found a fix to the issue people are having with it stopping. I changed the mechanism to start the elevator from the observer to a block of redstone. So the piston pushes the block of redstone into the starter piston and immediately retracts it (using an observer to activate it). Hasn't broke on me yet

I’m having the same problem with falling through the floor, I put a mine cart down like you said but it threw my whole system out of whack, it just wouldn’t go up anymore. What do you think may be the problem. I placed the rail down to put the cart on, pushed the button, got into the mine cart then just nothing and some parts of mechanical system went up but the flooring where I put the cart on didn’t.

Works great for my builds, but I play with Short Sneaking/Crawling (Experimental features) so change the roof and floor of the elevator to slabs if you don’t want to glitch out of the elevator.

If wall blocks are touching the slime but diagonally (corner to corner so not face to face) will it interfere with the build? I have made it and it worked until I did so but wondering if it was just faulty or it was the blocks.

Works great when looking at it going up and down, but as soon as I go inside, the elevator disassembles as soon as I press the button to go up (I must be too heavy xD )

I built this, and for some reason could only get the button to work a few times before the elevator would suddenly leave parts of itself behind. I just used a different method for the button now, it works but it takes up more room. This is sort of my first automated project 😅

For some reason, mine doesn’t work. I’ve retried all the steps and checked everything.

Can you make part two on how to call the elevator like for example you are on floor 1 but the elevator is on floor 2 and when you press the button the elevator comes down and you can go in it I tried to do it but it wouldn’t work

this is the only elavator for me that works but i found that if the elavator is moving and them when you try breaking the back part it well turn into like update_info2 block or block 36 and it breaks the entire elavator but if you dont do that them it well work great

For everyone wondering why they can't get the observers to face the right direction, it's based on the compass directions. If you seem to be off by 90 degrees, rotate your entire structure by 90 degrees and start again - and all is good! Btw, this is Bedrock.

When placing the second observer at 1:25 does it have to be a specific way up or just up because it keeps going up towards the othe observer instead of up towards the slime like in the video

Fixed the falling through the floor thing. It’s simple just replace the floor and ceiling blocks with slabs the floor on the lower half and the ceiling on the top half.

Sometimes when I tested it the elevator for some reson leave behind a piston that is connected to the slime block and brakes.

Dude it worked until i hooked up the button and then it ripped my elevator in half 😫 fml

Hey, so as people in the comments have discovered, you don't clip through the floor if you break the two iron blocks directly above you when you walk into the elevator. This works, but exposed slime blocks look ugly. Is there a way to make this design "taller" so you have more head room? That would likely fix it as it seems the cause is the top blocks not moving fast enough and "pushing" you through the floor if that makes sense

I don't know why, but I got stuck between the elevator and the pistons. But i changed the block above and below Me to slabs and it works

it doesn’t work for me. with i use it in survival i fall through the elevator and then it splits in two and breaks completely ive done this almost 6 times now and i don’t know what i did wrong

It becomes ugly when you decorate it into a house cause you can see the dark redstone after the elevator goes up or down

my iron golem spawned on the lightning rod and is this farm stackable? if i build it like 80 blocks above and just let the iron drop down

the only downside for me is that i keep glitching past the standing platform and fall in the bottom of the elevator when going up but still usable when going down

I need help with the observers, everytime i place the second one (where arrow faces upwards), the base faces the wrong way. I’ve tried it elsewhere and sometimes it works but when i try it in the place i need it, it doesn’t
