This is beautiful, it makes reading journals accessible. Some are way too time consuming, as beautiful as they are, I just couldn't see myself keeping up with something like that. This has really been inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

I've been looking high and low for a combination of low maintenance, (relatively) minimalist, no fuss, and casual kind of reading journal because I simply don't have the time or the inclination to get all artsy with mine, so finding this is a godsend. 😭 Thank you so much for the inspiration! 😊

I really like this simple approach, although it's still far more aesthetic than anything I've done. My reading journal tends to be very text-heavy and dense, and this opens it up a little without spending more effort on tracking the reading than the actual reading.

I love your journal simple and classy, I loss my dad in May and he was diagnosed in April of 2022 and was devasted, I think it is a great way to help yourself heal. Just found your channel and I love it. Thank you very much. Sending all my blessings, love and light and I am sorry about the loss of your dad. Love from Washington State.

Thank you so much🤍 I am so sorry about your father’s passing as well, it is very devastating. My dad was diagnosed with Covid in Dec 2020 and he passed away 6 weeks later, so I understand how shocking and devastating it is when it happens so fast. Sending all my love and hope you find things that help you heal as well🤍🕊️

I just got back into reading this year and felt that a reading journal will keep me on track. I’m not a very artsy person so seeing such a minimal journal setup look so nice is very relieving 😭😭😭Also I know this is a bit late but sorry about your father!

@ How do you stay consistent? Not only do you paint crazy detailed spreads but also film the KZfaq stuff. I'm struggling and my spreads aren't even complicated XD XD XD

I sketch my spreads throughout the month so that when the time comes for me to paint it I’m already ready! Sometimes it’s hard to maintain, like last month I couldn’t sketch so I used transfer paper to transfer images straight into my journal and then I painted them when I had time. Also sometimes it’ll be 11pm and I’ll still be painting😂 I love being able to practice and paint more so that’s what keeps me motivated to keep fitting in time when I can, but it’s definitely a struggle!

@ haha same boat. I've been having a hard time mentally dealing with transitions in life. I can see how it may have helped you cope during hard times. Sorry for your loss. It sounds like you two were pretty close.

I like how you focus in each of the books, and then just do a summary. Personally, my ratings are something like: -5 stars: I love it, I need it. -4 stars: I quite liked it. -3 stars: it's ok, nothing special but I liked it. -2 stars: Bad, seemed interesting but was dissapointing -1 star: How do they publish this stuff?? But I almost never give 2 or 1 stars, because I rather stop reading a book like that.

I love your simple reading journal 📖 I started mine this year, and feel like my two pages for each book work for me. I write a quick summary on one side and my thoughts on the book on the other. I also include a picture of the book and author. I have to have rating and stats (which include minutes read and chapters). I am also able to include some printed photos related to the book read. I love doing that! I am still working on what is best to include for me, so still a work in progress. I truly love the boxes and simplicity of your setup 😍

I love seeing reading journals like that! If I had more time I would spend a bit longer decorating the page for each book, but since I don’t that’s why I keep it so simple😂 glad you like it!

I love this! This is also how I do my thoughts on books. I feel like it makes my journal less stressful and easy to manage. Only the first 10 pages or so are colorful and over the top but I know I personally can’t keep up with that for every single page. So happy to have found your channel!

This is gorgeous and I love it! Also, don't feel bad about putting down a book and just googling the ending. lol Life is too short to waste time on books you don't enjoy. At least the cover was beautiful!

This layout is exactly what I’ve been needing! Not too much maintenance but still beautiful. Random question: I know you have a link to the journal you used but I was wondering what size you purchased? I was wondering if a5 was too small for the book cover layout. By the way, I’m glad that you found comfort in reading. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you so much! The first book is called A Song of Wraiths and Ruin and the second book is A Psalm of Storms and Silence by Roseanne A. Brown. It’s a really good series!

It's a little over my commitment / skill level. But it's a lot less complicated than many others I've seen. Everyone has their own preferences. Why don't you film a video showing the style you would prefer?
