Watching this game speedrun is truly impressive. This has to be one of the most awkward designed platforming games every created. Even beating it should be an accomplishment so flying thru it with any amount of skill is mind-boggling.

TMR probably the best runner to ever touch an NES, so much skill and such a humble and polite person, always a pleasure to watch him work.

I could never pass the first level of this game as a kid. It made no damn sense.

I was very young when we bought this game. I think I would try to figure out the first level every couple months or so, but never did know what to do. Finally, at some point, I figured it out, and the game opened up for me. TMR, of course, makes it look easy. The controls are so painfully bad that some of those platforming segments are very tough. I did beat this once as a kid, just to say I did it. The game itself is prety bad, but seeing this run, I kinda want to play it again.

I'm feeling proud that I actually beat this game as a kid. But it was nerve wrecking and took me hell of a lot longer than half an hour. Always had trouble with the air flow jumps at 19:40 and I didn't know I could avoid that puzzle.

I remember the second level being SOOO flipping hard when I was a kid back in the 80s!

This was one of the first games we got with our NES as we were a big simpson fan family. Thought it was hard as a kid but my older brother could beat it with all the letters etc. Some things were so hard to figure out!

Who was the target audience for this game? I had it as a kid and could never figure out what to do. And watching it now I can't imagine having the patience to figuring out the complexity of each level.

Wow, what were the developers of this game smoking? Even this speed runner died a few times, and I understand he died intentionally a few times, but not always. The platform jumping is also insanely unforgiving. What's worse is being the very first Simpsons game, what other gaming option did you have if you were a Simpsons fan? None.

28:20-28:35 For me this is correct. As a kid playing this game I never made it past the museum. Everything after that is completely new to me.

The hardest part for me is those jumps where you have to land on something two pixels wide, combined with the slippery physics.

I hadn't seen or thought of this game in decades. I can't believe that when I was five or six I could actually get to the fourth stage. I was never able to figure out how to beat the tyrannosaurus, though. In fact, up until now, I thought it was the boss of the stage. It doesn't matter, though, I suppose. There is no way I would have been able to beat the fifth stage.

Man I remember renting this game from Blockbuster thinking it would be like the Simpsons Arcade game. It wasn't. It definitely wasn't. One of my first big rental disappointments that I can remember.

After a lot of trial and error i beat this game when i was about 12 or so, frankly i think is kinda an ugly/bad game but for its time it was ok.
