I played this again the other day I don't remember the controls being so bad haha either that I was just terrible

Nice, yeh I forgot this existed. Definitely not as smooth as crazy taxi. Using a wheel actually makes the gameplay worse as the sensitivity is super high. On the plus side it's fun tearing it up in Springfield 😂
