I already got the life fruit and the flame fruit! It took me forever!!! I don't really use the money from the the money tree, I just place them all over the mansion to show how rich my Sims are!!!

EA Is super annoying.... Waterfalls don't damage anything but make the game more real and awesome... sigh... Thank you for showing this!

i had the same problem. Choose the "build" option or something similar, and build a single wall; then choose "move in family". move your family away from the lot and build the mansion again im afraid, but at least your family will still be there :) All the best

My house now looks awesome because I super-sized it a little bit, placed part of the house on the top of the falls and parts at the side, and it looked like a freaking vacation house in the woods!!!!! Took six hours to accomplish right, though.

Good news! I have the Adventures expansion pack installed (along with High-End Loft stuff pack) and I have found a way to replicate this effect, since it doesn't seem to work with one of the updates. It's not as pretty as this one D: but I'm sure with a little tweaking, it would be pretty cool! I will record it and have it up tomorrow! Thanks so much for the video, it helped me figure this out!

@cjkthawaiigirl Settings -> Video -> Reflections. It's for mirror reflections and if you pull the slider to the very right it says something like "Mirrors and Super-Water".

Try 'edit the town' which is above the options menu and you can move sims freely or join them with other families.

@XxEminentFatexX Because you probably have a newer version of the game. This video was made a couple days after the Sims 3 first came out. What with all the expansion packs EA has been releasing, and all the patches, it's not possible anymore.

*gets shiver* Waterfalls scare me o.o I have one of those phobias. Even if I see a waterfall on tv or on a video game I get a bunch of shivers and go away as fast I can....

the old way from the sims 2 works just fine

@Shpackz123 "Moveobjects on" can make you move things that normally couldn't. Like Sims, you can put them trough things; Use "Moveobjects off" to stop it.

I have a queation, how were you able to flaten the sodes of the terrian, im on a laptop. I can only grab onto the full soild line block vs the dotted line blocks

Yes, this doesn't work. HOWEVER you CAN make much more realistic waterfalls if you have ambitions. Just go into buydebug and select the fog emiter. Place that on the edge of your pond. Then change affect to the waterfall that you want. (small waterfall, medium waterfall etc.) Then you have an actual, moving waterfall.

This will only work if you don't have any expansion packs and if you haven't updated your game. It was a bug and its been patched now :(

this way don't need type moveobjects, just place columns before make a ponds.

Do not place a pond and make a basement on the same lot! your basement will flood!, well part of it. but trust me!

another way would be using the fog emitter in buydebug.

mine looks weird its like theres a dent in the raised elevation with water in it but only in the dent .... like a bowl fliped on its side

I made water on both sides... And it become a large water pillar
