I studied French to an intermediate proficiency in college and I’ve still never wanted to travel to France for this very reason. There are so many other countries and territories that speak French who are less judgmental AND have lovely culture/food.

Yes, Get Together Clubs are extremely useful for getting any sort of group together and making them function, much better than the NAPS even if there are some bugs in them (like I think there was or is some bug with adding cleaning and repairing to a group gathering.) Need help doing some of the aspirations that require more Sims? CLUBS! Good for Yoga, good for Socialization, good for finding partners, good for hanging out, good for study groups, good for hobbies, haha good for some dubious ethical practices. The only downside is not every pack's hobbies were remembered when it comes to clubs but a LOT of them have been!

@@iwakeupandboomimarat Because the Base Game is free now, I think they just wanted to help anyone who finally decided to give it a chance. A LOT of people get into the latest iteration much later in its lifespan or after it's no longer releasing new packs and being free to play will absolutely bring in even more people who just wanted to dabble in it or try it out but didn't want to pay money for it even during the extreme sales EA would have where it was like five or ten bucks. And if those people enjoy it and get the hang of it, stick around, they're more likely to eventually buy a pack or two at any price, but especially during one of the sales. I suspect they wanted these prepped before Christmas so those people could also add edit: some packs to their wishlist for the holidays.

It's a tradition in my family to be decorated for Christmas during Thanksgiving. My mom has done it before I was born, her mom did it, and her mom's mom did it too and now I do it as an adult 😂 we don't disregard Thanksgiving we still have family dinner but I mean what more can you do lol.

Second edit: I also had the thought that people with less traditional desires and states of being may find it harder to integrate into social spaces to find what they're looking for so there's that as well, even within a less typical IRL group. It's just harder to feel accepted and also to find one another and being less common these people are also less likely to be available unless they have a more open relationship. That kind of thing happens a lot, I bet. The struggles are real even when online spaces can help sometimes. haha sorry I don't know if you were up for such a lengthy discussion.
