One question - the people who Moses converted without God permission. Weren't some of them big learners of the Torah over the century and knew a lot of Torah??????

Only the people that were in the census. 20- 40 or 50 (The people that we’re going to fight in the war) The younger generation and the old ones were not blamed for their sin.

The sin of the spies was simply that they spoke the truth ,as they saw it ! what they should haver said was : ' if you want to know what the Land of Israel is like, you have to go see it for yourselves " because we all perceive things, see things, differently.

This sin of the spies, even according to Torah, they spread a bad report; the fear of the Giants overpowered them more than the fear they had of HASHEM at the mountain.
